You’re absolutely right about the MSM and Palin vs. Bachmann. But Palin has taken all they can dish out and is rising again. They’ve got much more to sink Bachmann in a minute if and when they want to use it. But right now, she’s carrying Mitt’s water for him and they don’t want to interrupt that. Notice: Bachmann still won’t mention or knock Romneycare.

Thanks for the further info—though I’ve never seen staff in training who weren’t, in that time, in training. Despite being something of a social conservative firebrand/lightning rod, Bachmann’s a go-along-get-along pol when it comes to doing favors for donors, taking and fighting for pork, etc..—as if her current run weren’t evidence enough for that.

She is in fact whoring...

Funny, I was going to say something along those lines.

We should be appreciative of foster parents such as the Bachmann’s, but foster parents get reimbursed by the state quite handsomely for their charges. (They may also have them for as short a term as one week.)

“he was actually agreeing that the mainstream media was biased to the Left.”

Below is a link to a very good speech w/Q&A by a young conservative, Ben Shapiro, at Heritage Foundation. It’s titled Primetime Propaganda. He speaks pretty rapid-fire, but it’s quite interesting!

Chris Christie lecturing on civility? That’s rich.

Thanks for the report!

She has painted herself into a corner now with the "raised" narrative and has invited a scrutiny that didn't have to happened. The Dems/MSM or Romney's bottom feeding dumpster divers WILL amazingly get access to at least the timelines of the children's stay. IF (and I mean if) it is learned that a significant number of those 23 were short termers it will only enforce the MSM meme that she plays fast and loose with facts. By the time the MSM gets finished with her she may well be done in politics.

To this date IMO, she has played her opportunity poorly.

“Wallace’s questioning of Kyl seems much more mellow and certainly less aggressive than his questioning of Bachmann just minutes earlier.

[A bit of sexism there, Chris?]”

No, Kyle’s not a Tea Partier. Remember CW’s infamous interview of Herman Cain?

Ann is the conservative version of a “fellow traveler.”

Being no true conservative herself, she instead advocates for the conservative cause because she is good at it and it provides a good living.

During the Cold War we use to call Leftist fellow travelers,”pinkos” in that they were almost a Red.
I suppose Ann is a new “pinko” since the MSM reversed the meaning with their Red State/Blue State invention that pretty much muddied the waters on ideological colors—as they intended.

Thank you for sharing my frustration with “reporters” who preface their questions with “some say that you...”. Which then enables them to republish some unsupported Internet libel. Wallace did it this morning to Bachmann- in essence, “some say that you are a flake. How do you respond?”. How about with, “Chris, why don’t you cite the source?”

The following may already be noted upthread, but has anyone told Wallace that constitutional amendments are Ratified by the states? He cited Bachmann as inconsistent because she believes in states’ rights but also favors a constitutional amendment that would define marriage as the
union between one man and one woman. He asked why she would want federal law to trump state law.

Bachmann AND her fans better get tough real fast, ‘cause I’ve got a feeling the sh**storm coming her way isn’t even started to warm up yet.

Yep. Her rising poll numbers show her to be a serious threat to their 'moderate'/mainstream guy. They don't like that.

Bork got borked. Palin got palined. Bachmann is the next in the line of fire.

This is terrifying. New taxes disguised as FEES.

Let's see if I understand the era we are entering:

FEES (new terminology) will now be the funding for the services provided by the Government, and

TAXES (old terminology) are just wealth redistribution for the RATS favorite victim class of the day.

Seems like this might present a quandary when cases reach the courts. A tax is really not a tax, and vice versa? Isn't the boy king admin arguing that mandated purchase of health ins just a tax? Didn't FDR use the same argument with SS (or was it the NRA)?

Lighten up Francis!

I don’t think Bray deserved that, as I doubt he truly thinks Palin supporters are flaky.

He certainly is never malicious, as you seem to be.

“Didn’t think she did a particularly good job today, but I like her.”

Same here, but when going up against the One, that won’t do.

Ya for sure I knew that, i just kind of left in hanging...ie college tuition for 23 children etc

I read that all 23 children came and went in a 6 year period, and some time ago. I really have no idea, but seems as if we are supposed to think that each of the 23 keep in touch, and the Bachmann`s attend to this day all their school plays, graduations and special events.

Perhaps they do all this?

Bray should have provided a disclaimer then to his “flaky Palin supporters” crack.
He should have wrote,”according to the Left,RINOs and The MSM,who say supporters of Palin are flaky...blah blah”

But he did not.
And as far as being malicious? Read my post #154 on this thread.
It's business not personal.

my frustration with “reporters” who preface their questions with “some say that you...”. Which then enables them to republish some unsupported Internet libel.

Katie Couric, even when she was on the morning show, was the top offender with her 'some say that ...' and 'there are those who say ... '

I used to cringe every time I heard her interview someone (pre-cable days). I assumed she continued the pattern during the CBS Evening news -- assumed, because I never watched it.

oney was TOO taken out of the SS trust fund. Further, the money was never put in there. Husband’s 401K plan invested the money, didn’t spend it, and it grew to great amounts. Us boobs out here in la-la land understand this.

Try this little exercise as I did years ago. Take the peformance chart for a stable conservative mutual fund that has been around since the first day you started work. Make a spread sheet and using your SS earnings statement put those SS moneys in every year and calculate the performance of the MF against your SS money (your money to start with). Unless you were a very low wage earner, you more than likely would have more than a million dollar next egg today AND it would pass to your heir when you die.

In my case I started investing in funds about 8 years after my first job at age 17. Today I would be a multimillionaire if I also had been able to invest my SS funds in the same funds that I invested in on my own, so there is nothing hypothetical about it. Instead I get $1500 per month and it stops when I die.

The argument from the left is "But you wouldn't have the discipline to save for retirement, therefore you need the Nanny State to do that for you".
