Black women account for 30 percent of abortions but are only 12 percent of the population.

Blacks account for 12% of the population. Black women (in the sense of all black females of any age) should be about 6% of the population. I wish modern journalists could write clearly and precisely.

Large segments of the black population are enslaved on the Democrat plantation without means to exist except that doled out by the Mas’sah. They are liberal and insist on responsibilityless sex beginning at 14. They must have abortion as a right

When folks say “I think abortion is bad, but I can’t impose my will on other people...” I always wonder if they feel that way about slavery.

Abortion has a lot of parallels to slavery.

The issue is about one class of people, those who are born, deciding that another class of people, the unborn,

are not fully human, and therefore do not have the same rights as those who are.

This campaign is correct in its assertion of a connection between slavery and abortion, but their reasoning is incorrect.

The connection is that both are based on one human’s unfettered control over another human, both based on the false premise that the victim is something less than human.

Fr. Frank Pavone likes to state that "America will not reject abortion if it does not see abortion" as reason to take the veil away from the public.

What was interesting just a couple of days ago was the government's new warning labels on cigarettes that display the effects of cancer. Very revealing in that the government believes images are very persuasive in getting a message across. Although they will argue in court that this is somehow a violation of a person's rights in forcing them to view such images (except for cigarettes because the government is doing it).

I think I can see the connection. According to the CDC, since the Supreme Court decision in Roe vs Wade in 1973, 13 million African American babies have been lost to abortion. The CDC reports that of the approximately 4000 abortions that are performed daily in the United States, 1452 of them are performed on African American women and their pre-born children. This means that although African Americans represent only 12% of the population of the United States, they account for 35% of the abortions performed in this country.

These guys really are thick, aren't they?

Slavery diminished the value of human liberty to chattel or property. Some slave owners even patted themselves on the back for saving lives and introducing primitive people to civilization who surely would have been killed in tribal warfare had they not been sold into slavery.

Abortion is takes that line of reasoning one step further by equating other human life with bodily tissue-- to be destroyed or kept as the owner sees fit. Even that logic falls short; you can't elect to amputate an otherwise healthy limb, for instance. You can intentionally maim yourself, but you will spend time in a mental institution (at least) for doing so. It won't be celebrated by the left as a choice.

The 13th amendment freed us.
We were full citizens, with all humans rights (for awhile).
With abortion, 15 million of us were declared less than human, and killed because of that.
All God's children are human. Stop the slaughter.

Of course there is a similarity. Slavery and abortion are both based on the theory that some human beings aren’t really human beings, so you can kill or enslave them without feeling bad about it.

This campaign is an attempt to reach out to black people and get them on the pro-life bandwagon. But I would agree that their argument is a bit confused.

If you want to make the case against killing off black babies, then it would be more logical to point out that Margaret Sanger wanted to exterminate the “lesser races,” and that her “family planning” arguments led straight to Hitler.

I have long made the comparison. Abortion is exactly like slavery: They’re both about the definition of a “person” and what distinguishes a person from “property”.

"The issue is about one class of people, those who are born, deciding that another class of people, the unborn, are not fully human, and therefore do not have the same rights as those who are."

Thank you, MrB. Actually, one can define that "class of people" even more precisely by specifying that it is one gender within the "born" class which decides the fate of the unborn souls who are deprived of life and the liberty to enjoy it. Why has there been no outcry from the Left concerning this "gender bias"?

Thanks, too, to EternalVigilance for restating the very foundation of our Constitution's protections for liberty, Thomas Jefferson's capsulization of the founding premise, as contained in the Declaration of Independence:

"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them."

Jefferson's final clause outlines the summary judgment of what happens when the unborn are denied their life and liberty.

“Comparing abortion to slavery certainly raises major concerns,” Hilary Shelton, director of the Washington bureau of the NAACP, told HuffPost in an interview. “Women are not forced to have abortions the way they were in servitude. Slavery was about not having the right to make any decisions.”

That’s silly. Slavery wasn’t mandatory—people could decide for themselves whether they wanted to own slaves. The masters certainly had the right to make decisions.

Oh, wait, she’s talking about the *slaves* themselves? She’s right, they had no rights.

And abortion isn’t mandatiry. Women can decide not to kill their babies.

But the baby has no more rights than the slave did.

That idiot with the NAACP is so obtuse that she can’t even fathom that the equivalent of the slaves in the analogy could possibly be the unborn babies getting slaughtered as opposed to the abortion-procuring women worshipping their god of convenience.

People who believe that abortion should be legal aren’t “pro-choice,” they are “pro-abortion,” period. To claim otherwise is to believe that someone who favored legal slavery wasn’t “pro-slavery,” but merely “pro-choice,” since the master was given the choice of whether or not to enslave another human being.

Oh, and the Constitution’s “Three-Fifths Clause” wasn’t a pro-slavery clause, it was actually an incentive for states to free the slaves, since states would get less congressional representation if they had slavery. Slave states wanted to count slaves as one full person, not 3/5ths of one, so that they could have more representation in Congress, but free states insisted on there being a penalty for slavery.

They’re both fundamental offenses against human life. One is just more permanent than the other.

Hilary Shelton, director of the Washington bureau of the NAACP, has the heart of a slave master. The masses are kept in line by encouraging them to slaughter their unborn for convenience. This allows unfettered promiscuity for children whose abortions are not reported as caused by rape. Conservative principles would restrict those who prefer to be unfettered by morality.
It is the entire population that is treated as less than human by abortionists and elitists. Any law that encourages the death of another at the hands of an inconvenienced party is a law that promotes sub human behavior. That is the nature and foundation of slavery.

"Abortion makes three-fifths human seem overly generous."

Oh my gosh. That is brutal but hopefully effective.

Seriously, black women. Choice begins when you pull down your panties. Do NOT LET eugenicist Margaret Sanger have the last laugh. Your babies are wanted even if you can't keep them. Be more careful no matter WHAT your friends are doing. And let your babies live.
