A CHEERFUL HEART IS GOOD MEDICINE
(Proverbs 17:22)
Which came first the chicken or the egg? We may never know the answer to this question, but when it comes to living a fulfilled life, the joy precedes the good feelings. As a matter of fact, the joy is the antidote to the woes of life. Humor is great medicine. Humor helps us to see the big picture. It provides us with a new context by which to view our situation. It gives us a different vantage point which we can use to reevaluate life. Humor gives us reasons to feel good! My prayer today is that we find humor in all of life.

Just so you know, Firefox sux for backgrounds. Mine sometimes don’t show up either, and then when I check IE
they were there all along. VERY annoying!

I forgot about the Belmont. Who won? Mrs. Smith, apparently. :)
Both the Derby and Preakness winners faded. The Belmont Stakes is 1.5 miles where "speed" horses go to die. They don't have the stamina to make it to the end, and they burn out.
She picked a longshot, which according to the racing sheets from the paper or online, has a tendency to finish strong, even when it didn't win. She figured a longer track would work in its favor. And she was right. I think it's name was "Ruler on Ice".

Well, I took Bo out to the lake yesterday. We had fun out there.
The work on the kitchen is just about complete. The repair guy and his assitant put the cabinets in. Tomorrow, they're going to uput the sink in.
I had to do some restocking this morning at Wal-Mart. Also washed the pickup at the car wash.
Not much else is happening. it is a little bit warm out there.

I see Phoenix has just busted a hundred.
We’re pretty warm down here, too.
And have another fire burning, on the south side of the Huachucas. This one is only about 15 miles away from the house; but poses no real threat due to terrain and other factors. (Knock on wood!)

Austin hit 100 again today, but we managed to stay around 95 during the hottest part. I just picked 12 or 15 ripe tomatoes from the garden. YUM!

A blessed Lord’s Day to you Kathy.
I bet your area is as beautiful as mine.
When the sun finally comes out; it is just beautiful.
We mowed the lawns and acreage this week — a little wet and a bit slippery, but so green.
The gardens are in spring bloom.
