Saturday is fine, MA. Mowed the yard, cleared excess dirt and rocks, and went to a meeting at work (that part wasn’t fing) and am working on reconciling a check-book. First time for this account since last October.
I guess I tend to procrastinate a little bit...
I see it, but it was gone for awhile. I think PROCON scrambled the bits on the Internet and made it disappear.
Thanks, AZ, for LeAnn’s Amazing Grace.
A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
We like to read about comebacksabout people or companies who face near disaster and turn things around. The Ford Motor Company is an example of that. In the 1940s, a reluctance by leadership to modernize almost destroyed Ford. In fact, the government nearly took over the company lest its demise threaten the US war effort. But when Henry Ford II was released from his military duties to run the company, things turned around. Ford became one of the biggest corporations in the world.
Occasionally, we need a comeback. We need to correct wrong directions or compensate for wrong decisions. In those times, we have an example in Peter. He had failure written all over him. First, he nearly drowned when his faith faltered (Matt. 14:30). Then he said things that were so wrong Jesus called him Satan (16:22-23). And when Jesus needed Peter the most, he denied that he even knew Him (26:74).
But thats not the end of the story. In the power of the Spirit, Peter made a comeback. On the Day of Pentecost, he preached and 3,000 people came to faith in Christ (Acts 2:14,41). Peter returned to effectiveness because his faith was renewed, he guarded what he said, and he stood up for Jesus.
Struggling? If Peter can come back, so can you.

That is what I have based on DOC’S Friday’s news.
The Oregon State-Vanderbilt game is just starting and they're down 2-0..:=(
I’ve been working on timesheets for the week ending 6/5, the first week of the pay period for the guys that get paid this Friday. I printed out all the timesheets in the new system and am trying to reconcile them with the one week edits we computed on Friday. I’m trying to get a head start on the chaos of Monday. These new timesheets leave a lot of info to be desired. I’ve used a stack of flags so far. LOL!
Happy reconciliation!
Interesting evening.
Found myself alone and as any good man would do, I passed up on cooking myself dinner and drove off to Schnitzel Haus for some beer and bratwurst (okay, specifics might vary by man). Anyway, as I drive past St. Ephram's Church (not my local parish, mind you), I notice the time and I do want any good little Catholic boy would do: pull over the car so I could "get it over with".
Anyway, at the end of Mass, the priest mentioned two people joining us in the congregation: Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark. And they were having a book signing a little later.
So in mysterious ways, the Good Lord is trying to influence my summer reading.
Pro!
I don’t know this went through on yesterday thread guess what I FOUNDDDD LOL!

Oops, sorry Ma, heading to the time-out corner...
Tell me when I can leave, K?
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
A Blessed Lord’s Day to The Mayor family.
How is training coming along for your son?
I am so happy for you, Sand. ((HUGS)) Cleared for work!
Any restrictions? I don’t imagine you are ready for jogging yet, are you? d:o)
And a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Good evening, TS...((HUGS))...His mysterious ways, indeed.
Hope you enjoyed your “dinner” and happy reading.
Dinner was excellent. Beef goulash (but spelled more Germanic) and grilled bratwurst and mashed potatoes. And the rolls were fresh. And just above the bar was a nice size screen which allowed me to see (though not hear) the Belmont Stakes. And a tall, dark beer that starts with a “W”. (That’s basically what I was told to ask for if I go back because I couldn’t pronounce the name of it).
I got sidetracked with work...you can come out now. No more scrambling! d:o)
Glad you enjoyed your night out.
I forgot about the Belmont. Who won? A horse in the Kentucky Derby?
