Sarah Palin is the hottest act in town, and the critics can only grind their teeth....
Her “secret” bus tour of America is a secret so closely held that she travels in a Greyhound-sized monster decorated with her name and an American flag the size of a barn. The lady who was mocked by the wisenheimers for saying she could see Russia from her backyard in Alaska now sees revenge through the windshield of her bus.
The media’s Gaffe Patrol, ever on the scout for mistakes, errors, blunders, slips of the tongue and other erratum the patrollers think they see in our pols, pounced on the lady the other day in Boston for “mangling” the story of the midnight ride of Paul Revere. She had recounted the story that Revere warned the British when every man riding in the press caravan was sure it wasn’t the British he warned, but patriots......
This makes perfect sense to the Americans she speaks to, but to the press claque this was only further proof that Miss Sarah was the usual Republican moron. She obviously hadn’t mastered American history in elementary school — indeed, she didn’t even get her diploma in the Ivy League.
Only now it turns out that she was right about Revere’s midnight ride, and the press claque was wrong. Even the professors say so, though they’re grudging to the point of churlishness......
Sarah Palin has hardly been scratched by the shot and shell showered on her since she streaked like a rocket across the landscape three years ago. She has a gift for feeling the love and expressing the enthusiasm Americans feel in their bones for their God and their country. For all his cool dispassion and occasional eloquence, it’s a gift the president doesn’t have.

Under the “O” administration we have an economic train wreck, illicit and coerced ‘health care’ reform, unconstitutional deployment of US resources and troops, etc. ...but Liberals are waiting for Sarah Palin to marble-mouth something in her speeches. (AS IF “O” NEVER HAS and DOESN’T STILL!!!!)

Oh, really? Her dad’s a history teacher and she know exactly what she wanted to TEACH to an ignorant public...She talked about the event in a way to hit on the points she wanted to make.....that the Brits were warned by Revere after he was captured that the alarm had been sent by the riders that night and the shots and bells they heard were the Colonists preparing to resist.....you can read Revere’s own words in his letter. Your smug comment is typical of someone short on facts but long on feelings. Get a clue, pal, before you mouth off.
Paul Revere was one of many riders who left the environs of Boston to warn the country side of the impend British march on Concord and Lexington. His route was completed by another rider, Dr Prescott, after Paul Revere was captured by a British patrol.
According to Wikipedia, Revere told his capturers about the British movement from Boston and about the probability of a fight near Lexington as that is where the militia was assembling.
You have to remember that the Longfellow poem, which most, if not all, history books are based was written in 1851, 76 years after Paul Revere’s ride (1775) and 40 years after his death.
