In the first town hall of his freshly announced presidential campaign, Mitt Romney yesterday reaffirmed his view that global warming is occurring and that humans are contributing to it, a position that has been rejected in recent years by many Republicans as the issue has taken on a greater partisan tinge.
"I don't speak for the scientific community, of course," Romney said. "But I believe the world's getting warmer. I can't prove that, but I believe based on what I read that the world is getting warmer. And number two, I believe that humans contribute to that . . . so I think it's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may well be significant contributors to the climate change and the global warming that you’re seeing."

I know that some on this forum are less than enthusiastic about Perry, but I hope he runs and snags the nomination. In my view, while he isn’t perfect he’s a very solid choice, sufficiently conservative on most issues and also has a reasonably good shot at beating the Resident.

I’m starting to think that Romney is going for the Democratic crossover votes, in the Republican primaries. With Obama running again, the Dem votes are up for grabs, and the IDIOT Republicans are more than happy to welcome them into their primary process by making it simply to crossover.

If Mitt McMilquetoast gets the nomination, I might as well vote for Obozo. Between the two, we have a democrat who is honest about who he is, and a democrat who is not honest about who he is. I will do it specifically to destroy the Republican party with all of the backstabbers and turncoats in it.
I'm beginning to have the opinion that it might be in the best interest of Conservatives to destroy the Republican party, and rebuild from scratch.
If McMilquetoast is the best the Republican party can do, they deserve to be exterminated.
If the country collapses, we boot Nazifornia, Taxachusetts, and New Yak out of the union, and rebuild from the ground up.
These candidates are going to slowly eliminate themselves one by one until we’re down to Palin, West, and Cain.. all of which sound pretty good to me.
