Don't Support Palin for 2012 (ZOT!)
Posted on 06/02/2011 12:31:59 PM PDT by Conservative Coulter Fan
I know Im going to garner a lot of bitter reactions, but I just have to question this devotion to Sarah Palin as our candidate for 2012. Am I the only one that thinks conservatives are falling into the whole cult of personality with regard to Sarah Palin much the same way the Left did with Obama? Im not comfortable with her just bailing on Alaska, shes the one that allowed Levi Johnston to knock up her daughter, and I dont want a reality TV. candidate - I want a serious conservative thinker with the stomach for policy. Id much rather have Michele Bachmann or Herman Cain. Anyhow, thats just my opinion. Let the hate begin..

I'm a Palin supporter and those who don't support her for substantive reasons will never get a beef from me. However, your reasons for not supporting her are stupid and not worthy of discussion.

Herman Cain supported TARP bailouts. He supported Bush's TARP (which wasn't really a bailout), but mostly the government buying back the troubled assets that banks and consumers and businesses were holding on to that weren't worth the paper they were printed on.

This disagreement = hate thing doesn’t fly with me.
As for me supporting Sarah Palin for president, I’ll be the judge of that. Obviously, you are missing seeing what I see in her.

It’s not a fair comparison.
Palin is skilled, experienced, demonstrably qualified and positively gaga about the United States of America.
“O” WAS not ... IS not
and WILL NEVER BECOME SO!
There’s no comparison

1. Im not comfortable with her just bailing on Alaska, 2. shes the one that allowed Levi Johnston to knock up her daughter, 3. and I dont want a reality TV. candidate - 4. I want a serious conservative thinker with the stomach for policy.
1. She bailed on Alaska not because she couldn't take the heat but because it was right for Alaska. Removing herself from the cross hairs made it possible for the state to execute her agenda. And all but one of the suits against her were dismissed, illustrating the frivolity.
2. If you think she allowed Johnston to impregnate her daughter, you must be very young and not have a real handle on how these things happen. But if you are that young, you should know about adolescent behavior.
3. That she had a show doesn't make her a reality TV candidate any more than the movie about her coming out soon makes her an actress.
4. What makes you think that she's not a serious conservative thinker with the stomach for policy?

I want a serious conservative thinker with the stomach for policy. Lets see, Sarah has written op eds in WSJ on different subjects. How about critiqing those and telling us why they aren't "serious" thought? Compare and contrast to policy op eds from Cain and Bachmann, if they have any. Sarah was the first potential candidate to point out that Obamacare would necessarily result in a government agency deciding who gets life saving treatment and who doesn't, and summing the issue up by coining the phrase "death panels". She has put forth more specifics on energy policy, and was the first major contender to warn about QE2, specifically predicting runaway inflation. So who is putting forth more specifics?
Sarah may or may not run, but you should quit repeating the liberal media lie that she isn't a "thinker", unless you want to actually come up with some specifics to back up your assertion. Finally quit insulting her supporters by calling their support a "cult of personality", as though they are brainwashed mind-numbed robots.

"...shes the one that allowed Levi Johnston to knock up her daughter" HOW old are YOU? Do you have, or have you ever had, teenagers? I haven't decided on anyone yet, but listening to the hilarious reasons NOT to support Palin is becoming a full time job.

i agree with you
2 3/4 years as a Governor does not qualify anyone for the Presidency. these acolytes (or Palinbots if you will) remind me of the Obamabots of 2008.
if anything it is the blind devotion of Palinbots that really turned me off of her non-candidacy

The hate began with your post dumping on Sarah Palin. I just love the "passive-aggressive" play where you throw a bomb and then whine "just watch, someone's going to attack me! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH".
I like Cain and Bachmann, too; however, neither of them is on a par with Palin. Would you rather Palin stayed in office and bankrupted the state to fight the ridiculous ethics claims? If she had I'm sure you would be on here complaining "Palin bankrupted Alaska because she was too selfish and too power-hungry to step aside", yada, yada. The comment about Sarah "letting" her daughter get "knocked up" is quite revealing about you as well.
If you are going to oppose Palin, at least do it in a sane, coherent manner, instead of copying some talking points from DU or whatever sewer you crawled up from.

I like Bachmann (more than Palin on immigration), but she doesn’t have the experience for the presidency. And you’re crazy if you think with 23 now-grown foster children there wouldn’t be some chinks in the Bachmann family story that the Dems and the media wouldn’t be able to find, purchase or manufacture.
To: Conservative Coulter Fan
I think you’re the one being pompous. How ignorant of you to imply that Gov. Palin “allowed” her daughter to get pregnant. I also don’t need you to tell me who to vote for.

Before the zot, I would like to give my response to the "quitter" thing.
I would say, After 2 1/2 years, Sarah Palin resigned from the Governorship of Alaska in order to pursue other interests.
She left the state with a surplus and in the very good hands of Lieutenant Governor Parnell.
In contrast, Barack Obama, after 1 1/2 years as Senator from Illinois, left his position to pursue other interests.
Since he left, the State of Illinois, fell into a bankrupt condition.
Obama left Illinois in the questionable hands of Rod Blagojavich!
Take that you "quitter-mongers."

Not that that's saying much, of course.

I want a serious conservative thinker with the stomach for policy. "The heart wants what it wants." - Woody Allen (who went on to have sex with his daughter)
My want is for a candidate with B*LLS who will dare to explain and unabashedly promote true conservative ideals to the American people. Who will show us all why conservative, Constitutional principles, the spine of this country, help EVERYONE. Who can speak the truth to liberals and not be cowed by them.
Sarah might be that candidate.

Perhaps you not only watch too much of the mainstream media’s news but have also begun to believe them? You have their talking points down pat.
To: Conservative Coulter Fan
shes the one that allowed Levi Johnston to knock up her daughter You could have made a case against Sarah Palin without that idiotic comment and cause you to lose any credibility to discuss the issue.
