I like Bachmann (more than Palin on immigration), but she doesn’t have the experience for the presidency. And you’re crazy if you think with 23 now-grown foster children there wouldn’t be some chinks in the Bachmann family story that the Dems and the media wouldn’t be able to find, purchase or manufacture.

You got that right. The whole 23-foster-children thing makes me wonder a little bit about Bachmann. Was she a stay-at-home mom for all 23 of them? I admire charity, but taking on 23 foster kids smacks of overkill. Otherwise what I know of Bachmann, I like and admire.

A MAJOR and very serious risk about Bachmann is that she could be slaughtered either by truth or by lack of Teflon, by opponents using media scandal to attack her. Palin, on the other hand, is tempered already and proved herself, in both real history as well as emotional constitution, to be diamond-resilient to nuclear MSM bombing.

Palin detractors can describe my identifying that about her as having a "messiah" complex all they want, but they're only fooling themselves. Admitting and recognizing reality in a candidate is the OPPOSITE of what cult-of-personality types around Obama do -- they attribute things to him that are wholly imaginary.

On balance, Palin is a MUCH much much safer bet than Bachmann.
