The America Family Association has organized ten powerful economic graphs that put financial facts and figures into visual form. Sometimes you can quote economic statistics to people until you are blue in the face and it wont do any good, but when those same people see charts and pictures suddenly it all sinks in. As you examine the economic charts below, pay special attention to what has been happening to the U.S. economy over the last 30 or 40 years.

It sure has been a party for some people
Somebody do something
How’s that “free trade” thing working out, America?
Recipe to save US:
1. Remove Kenyan impostor from the office.
2. Bring to justice all that put him in there.
3. Overturn all the crap (regulations, “stimulus”...)
4. Repopulate Congress, Senate, Presidency with real representatives of people.
5. No government involvement in the business, just watch for monopoly.
6. Restore Constitution and freedom, competition, revamp tax code, restore justice.
7. ....
ENOUGH !!!
Looks like this doesn’t end well for most of us. I really don’t see congress is really going to do anything, and we know the White House isn’t.
Why not post the whole thing here?
Its kind of long.
Ack. Economic Armageddon. I’m raisin’ some more vegetables.
Almost none of those charts have anything to do with trade (except for the West Texas Crude chart, and you want to raise those prices, remember?).
Meaning...........
Wrong again.
My position is simple. Import tariffs.
Until and unless Texas secedes, West Texas Crude isn’t imported. :)
See how that works?
How’s that “givin’ a free ride to every dem victim group” workin’ out for ya? Or paying freeloading union member 5 times what they’re worth...
I’m not in favor of increasing welfare or in favor of unions.
Though accepting your red herring for purpose of discussion...
Welfare recipients and union members, are Americans. Sending US jobs and factories to history’s largest communist nation doesn’t help any Americans.
Only China’s politboro. Oh. And the PLA.
You saying the (American) free market doesn’t work?
Sure seems like it.
I am an American free market capitalist. I simply believe if we do not protect America, we will lose our nation forever.
Unions forced many of our companies first to the South - and then overseas. In the short run the greedy little jerks got wages higher than workers around them who didn’t belong to unions. In the long run companies ran away from the bullies and took American jobs with them.
Setting aside the issue of tariffs raising prices in order to "create jobs" (can't happen unless prices go up, remember), when you artificially raise the price of a product (in this case, imported oil) a domestic producer doesn't just sit on its hands, it raises prices also to capture the higher margin. It's astounding that you don't see it. My guess is that you deliberately ignore it because doing otherwise destroys the foundation of your argument.
Some folks believe in unicorns, but it doesn't make them real.
“Somebody..?!!”
that’s called “We the People”. ...so I believe...
At which time, it became for all intents ... treason.
