DES MOINES, Iowa -- In a move designed to propel her closer to a presidential run, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will set out on a bus tour of the country on Sunday, making stops at symbolic sites along the way.
"Starting this weekend, Sarah Palin will embark on a ‘One Nation' tour of historical sites that were key to the formation, survival, and growth of the United States of America," SarahPAC treasurer Tim Crawford said in a statement to RealClearPolitics. "The tour will originate in Washington, D.C. It will proceed north up the east coast."
Details were still being hammered out on Thursday, but sources indicated to RCP that the bus tour is expected to last several weeks and will be divided into separate geographical stretches for logistical reasons.
Members of Palin's immediate family are expected to join her on the trip, which will eventually take her through key early-voting states.

It may be a new twist on an old ploy, but she will make it work for her. No matter where she goes, she will give interviews and generate mucho local media buzz, while bypassing and cutting the Lame Stream idjits out. I can see Andrea “the gnarly one” Mitchell stalking her and trying to shove negative tell all books in her face. It will all be a huge positive boost for Palin.
Nothing wrong with touring to sell movies and books, and making speeches for money, it is done all the time. Others people are attributing it to something else.
Not that I can think of. I hope she uses some of the more forgotten sites of revolutionary history, Jockey Hollow, Saratoga or Trenton, for instance. I wonder if she’s got the okay to use the sites in Lexington and Concord?
This could be a real chance to educate Americans about the Revolution.
Forgot to point out to you that you cannot use a PAC to run for office, it is used to support other people.
Please stop on Long Island!! My little town of Huntington is a very historical part of the Revolution!!!
