I swear, the artificial bar that some people set for Palin is nearly laughable. She's the equal or better than any of our presidents, outside of the Framers themselves.

If she were able to absorb Romney into her fold, then the primaries would in effect be over. Palin / Romney is more than the current pack of gnomes, dwarves and wee folk would be able to contest.

Hmm.... Looking at that from a purely analytical/logistical view from outside the right, I can see the logic in it. Problem is, Sarah and Mitt are ideologically like oil and water.

There's no natural mix there, and in fact, the two are mutually repellant. So would their supporters be, and the total package would wind up being less than the sum of its parts.

Might even lose to The Usurper.

Up until a month or so ago I was convinced Sarah was going to sit this election out. I think the rise and fall of the Donald, Huckabee and Daniels not running and the unlikelihood of a true Tea Party Conservative in the race has pushed her towards jumping in.

I remain unconvinced that she can win the General election, but I’m really, really exited to see her getting into the race!!

...getting Gov Palin through the primaries and then past the billion dollar negative media blitz of Soros/Obama won't be easy.

The putrid leftstream media has been pounding on Sarah for almost three years now, and they've hardly put a dent in her armor, or her popularity among the center-right base (as evidenced by the sheer jubilation we're witnessing).

They've already thrown everything they've got at her, and have nothing but the same old tired bromides on stand-by. The "trash Sarah Palin" show is long past it's sell-by date, and won't be nearly as effective in steering public opinion as it was a couple of years ago.

I would only work (and this just barely!) if Romney had a sudden epiphany regarding RomneyCare. Acknowledged it was a flat failure, he was foolish for doing it, it was against his better business judgment, but he let himself be talked into it, because the MA public wanted it. However he has spent too much political capital defending the indefensible to ever do this!
My previous tepid support for Romney back in 2008 was based on a) Dislike of McCain, b) Failure of Thompson's effort, c)my being influenced by some MA GOP’ers I worked with & d) that fact that he had a successful business record.

Cain's record is much more impressive! A Palin/Cain ticket would do nicely!

Seems like she does have a communication plan - albeit unconventional (which is her trademark). Recall the announcement (leaked, of course) that there’s a full-length feature film documentary coming out that will serve to reintroduce her to the American public and reset their image of her (after the non-stop pummeling handed out by the Dems, liberal media, and - most disturbingly - establishment GOPers).

Sarah has perhaps the best political instincts of any current politician. While others are rolling out “exploratory committees”, announcements in front of supporters in some park, perhaps an online video... meanwhile Sarah rolls out a full-length documentary and a nationwide bus tour. Game on!!!
