SEATTLE - A man was stabbed repeatedly with a fork then punched during a large disturbance involving more than 50 people early Sunday in Seattle's International District, police said.

Seattle police were dispatched to the scene, outside a restaurant in the 500 block of Maynard Avenue South, at about 2:35 a.m.

There they found 50 or more people spilling onto the street from the restaurant, all pushing and shoving each other. It was unclear if all of them were involved in the disturbance, or had come out to watch.

The restaurant staff locked the doors after everyone spilled out, preventing anyone from coming back in.

One officer spotted a bloody victim pinned against the locked door and saw another man punching him. The officer jumped in and stopped the assault.

After the suspect was in custody, it was determined that the victim had been stabbed repeatedly with a fork inside the restaurant.

A preliminary investigation found that the suspect attacked the victim after he saw him dancing with a woman at another nightclub, and the suspect took offense, police said.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, which included fork stab wounds to his head, hand, and other areas.

You know...this is the PNW. That could be taken both ways.

Yep...it’s forked up, alright.

Getting stabbed with a fork in the melee has gotta hurt. Getting kicked in the melee is bad enough.

Lindsay was in Seattle?

There are many reasons why, I guess...but only one comes to mind.

I don’t think he was politikin.
