We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy Massachusetts liberal can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
From this Catholic, we, as Christians need to hold our respective principles and beliefs but to lay aside our differences in the current crisis to fight our common enemies in the name of our Lord. Your Savior and mine wept at Gethsemane over His knowledge that His flock would not be as one but they would all still be His flock. May we have each others’ backs and may God bless you and yours.

If FR were the kind of place that would accept the evil of the left, then I would not be here and I am a permanent “stain” upon the fabric of FR! ;-)
Here are some sage words from a great man that loved America. This is the spirit that will rule our lives on FR. mitt will go the way of newt... and he will fall quickly. Our enemies will tremble.
“Some men are cowards but they fight the same as the brave men or they get the hell slammed out of them watching men fight who are just as scared as they are. The real hero is the man who fights even though he is scared. Some men get over their fright in a minute under fire. For some, it takes an hour. For some, it takes days. But a real man will never let his fear of death overpower his honor, his sense of duty to his country, and his innate manhood. Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best and it removes all that is base. Americans pride themselves on being He Men and they ARE He Men. Remember that the enemy is just as frightened as you are, and probably more so. They are not supermen.”
Patton stopped and the crowd waited. He continued more quietly, “All of the real heroes are not storybook combat fighters, either. Every single man in this Army plays a vital role. Don’t ever let up. Don’t ever think that your job is unimportant. Every man has a job to do and he must do it. Every man is a vital link in the great chain. What if every truck driver suddenly decided that he didn’t like the whine of those shells overhead, turned yellow, and jumped headlong into a ditch? The cowardly bastard could say, “Hell, they won’t miss me, just one man in thousands”. But, what if every man thought that way? Where in the hell would we be now? What would our country, our loved ones, our homes, even the world, be like? No, ***damnit, Americans don’t think like that. Every man does his job. Every man serves the whole. Every department, every unit, is important in the vast scheme of this war. The ordnance men are needed to supply the guns and machinery of war to keep us rolling. The Quartermaster is needed to bring up food and clothes because where we are going there isn’t a hell of a lot to steal. Every last man on K.P. has a job to do, even the one who heats our water to keep us from getting the ‘G.I. Shits’.”
“I don’t want to get any messages saying, “I am holding my position.” We are not holding a ***damned thing. Let the Germans do that. We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything, except the enemy’s balls. We are going to twist his balls and kick the living shit out of him all of the time. Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like shit through a tin horn!”
George S. Patton
THAT sir... is what FR will do. GOD bless FR... GOD bless you Jim... and GOD bless America.

I have your back. I just want the real fight to start. This has become ridiculous. I know I’m not the leader but we’re being overwhelmed without a fight.
Our Founders fought over a single tax, technically.
The Civil War was fought over a few more differences.
Our current situation is one of thousands of insults to the Constitution yet we bleet really hard.
Is Myth Romney the new John McLaim?.....
and then he proved himself incapable of dealing with the media and their attacks focused on his religion
therefore, he is nothing but a distraction. he should realize this. realize the left wants him to get the nomination, because they know how to defeat him
this round, my choice is:
-------------- PALIN / WEST --------------
you can criticize either or both candidates that people of those states choose in their primary, but you can't deny that the party took positions with respect to each state that was not in line with the people's positions.
and that is why I don't send money to the party anymore - I send them a pre-printed and signed note that I will donate to candidates of my choice directly, since the RNC has abandoned me.
More people need to take that position with respect to the party
so while I somewhat agree with your points, I still believe that the party is infested with elites and RINO's and doesn't work in our interests anymore
Jim, judging by 99.9% of the comments seen here at FR, I`d surmise it`s safe to say... HELL NO!!
yitbos
NO MORE CONCESSIONS! NO MORE RHINO’S. TAKE BACK THE COUNTRY! IF NOT AT THE BALLOT, THEN BY FORCE.
Mitt would have to pull off a near miracle. South Carolina will stop him just like it did for Buchanan.
I expect Palin to surprise. Her face is getting very lean. God is strengthening her soul for grand things to come. imho
Yo .. (away tonight .. and now yawning here).
I believe Rush’s inside buzz that Daniels is being seriously previewed out there amongst the Beltway pubbie elites, has garnered serious looks and approval, and apparently some old time veteran pubbie campaign hacks (Rove?) are right there.
I don’t rule out his entry, especially since the personal wife issue has been handled with her recent speech, but check this out .. the squishiness is obvious. His fiscal IQ and managerial skills are apparently high .. and then .. there’s the BUT ....
THEY JUST DON’T GET IT!

Mitch Daniels: Bend Over for Our Enemies and Make Them Like Us - May 19, 2011
###
RUSH: Grab audio sound bite number one. I teased you with this, and I really didn’t mean to. I just got sidetracked with this Middle East speech. Mitch Daniels in 2009.
Now, remember, what does it say that somebody that is this low-key is needed to add excitement to our campaign, and that’s what the inside-the-Beltway Republicans are saying. Here is Mitch Daniels, and I’ve got three or four of these, but I’ve got time to play one. We’ll do the rest tomorrow.
But Mitch Daniels, 2009, in Washington, making a speech at the Ripon Society.
DANIELS: The next Republican majority will have to emphasize those things that unite us, as opposed to those things about which we are in conflict or divided. It seems to me this is a message I’ve never heard Dick Lugar speak divisively, that, you know, the whole concept of a wedge issue should be foreign to us if we really want to come back.
We’ve got a tall mountain to climb. We not only are out of favor right now, but the topography in this country is not moving in a positive way, standing on the political basis left to us. So we better be thinking about those things that unite us and we better be extraordinarily understanding of those who disagree, bend over backwards.
I mean we’re all Americans.
RUSH: Mitch Daniels, we better be extraordinarily understanding of those who disagree with us, must bend-over backwards. Listen to the next one, it gets better.
DANIELS: The next Republican majority or its representatives, not to be trivial about it, ours needs to be a friendly sort of politics, people have to like you a little bit before they’ll listen to you, or at least they can’t actively dislike you, you just have to persuade them.
And, by the way, I think the door is open to us on this. The meanest people I see in American politics right now are on the left. It’s not a caricature. By the way, it comes naturally. If you believe you are a superior person intellectually or morally elite, and therefore well suited to order the affairs of everybody else, then power and access to it means everything. And you’ll do anything — just about anything to get there.
RUSH: So what he said here is, people have to like you a little bit before they’ll listen to you, at least they can’t actively dislike you. We’re gonna have to make ‘em like us. That was Mitch Daniels. That’s June 10th of 2009 in Washington at a dinner at the Ripon Society.
And there are a couple more of these that we found. In fact, the whole sound bite roster from today we’ll probably keep for tomorrow, plus whatever new happens.

Apparently, Rick Perry is also getting a serious looksee by
some authentic Beltway conservatives, and that’s scaring
the grayhaired weaklings. He’s also too conservative for them.
~~~~~~~~
It’s all well crystallized here in the video of Rush’s opinions about this year’s CPAC, the actual ascendency of Reagan conservatism and how the ruling class pubbies are clearly dissing it.
Rush: This is not the CPAC I remember
http://www.therightscoop.com/rush-this-is-not-the-cpac-i-remember/
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s the Beltway pubbies, the graying, empirical, tenured establishment, who are taking conservatism to hell.
The writing is on the wall.
God bless us with a few courageous patriot political fighters who cherish America, to take up the gauntlet in one of our very darkest hours to protect the country, the Constitution and our very freedoms, and to be rallying points who focus the nation’s attention like a laser on this precipice of the dangers, and who spark the momentum it’ll take to end the dark morass of this appalling radical oblivion.
God bless and protect us and our troops .. and put His perfect hedge of protection around Israel and her citizens.
HELL NO.
Deja Vu.
I wonder if this will result in another purge of FR members?
What the heck happened to Newt? Even Rush is a little stumped by it. If only we could have the "Mr. Newt" from 1994 back, before he was deflated by the '95 government shutdown.
Mitt, who?
Gee, let me get out the popcorn.
(How can we put out some suitable RINO-pheromones onto the thread? FR is explicitly about *conservatism*, after all.)
Cheers!
Romney is a Ken-doll technocrat. I will never vote for him, Pawlenty, Daniels, Gingrich, or Huntsman. The only candidates I would vote for at the moment are Palin, Perry or Bachmann.
Cheers!
