Not only does Dominique Strauss-Kahn have to worry about a possible prison sentence, but now he also has reason to be concerned about coming into contact with the HIV/AIDs virus. The alleged victim of the IMF chief's sexual assault lives in a Bronx apartment rented exclusively for adults with HIV or AIDS.
The hotel maid is a West African immigrant, and has occupied the fourth floor of the building with her 15-year-old daughter since January. Before that, she had lived in another apartment since 2008 that was set aside by Harlem Community AIDS United for adults with the virus and their families.
At least one adult in the household must be HIV-positive or have AIDS to qualify for the apartment, and infected children are not eligible. Deductive logic indicates that the woman very likely was infected, although we cannot ascertain this for sure due to medical confidentiality laws.
The woman's lawyer, Jeffrey Shapiro, as well as a close family friend said that she is a widow and lives alone with her daughter...

It’s interesting that Bill Clinton was the one that pushed through and signed a bill that made the accused sexual harrasser’s past behavior relevant to court procedings,
then proceded to lie under oath in order to avoid being subject to that law.
The “consensual” defense was Plan B. Plan A was that he had a solid alibi, but they had to abandon that when they learned that there was DNA evidence.

I would ask the same question. Unless someone is in a hospice situation (seriously late stages of AIDS), or is a serious criminal offender, I wouldn’t find too much reason to allow them to live separately. But then again, nowadays, it seems too many people like to hang out with birds of their own feather.

Most plausible: They are both HIV negative or he is and she is not. Africa is rampant with HIV. Hetero men do not get HIV very easily.
Least plausible: this is a political hit, and he is to be held harmless.
She might not need to take the stand if the medical evidence is strong enough. We know DSK lied and changed his story (according to media reports), so you can’t discount potential conflicts in her story (or what was reported to be her story by the media) without doing the same for him.
Not passing judgment on anyone, but hoping that justice is done.
Saw something like this first hand.
While in the Navy, my buddies and I were in a hotel room. One of the waitresses came up and started drinking with us. She got so drunk she got sick. The guy who had brought her up to the room took her into the bathroom to ‘help’ her.
When he and the girl came out she left and he claimed to have had sex with her. We were all appalled. How could you have sex with a sick drunk girl?
The next day we went into the restaurant for lunch and the same girl was there. Only now, she had a pencil sized sore on her upper lip. We all looked at the guy and said, “Serves you right!”
How people can have sex with prostitutes is beyond me. Not only do I not want to have sex with a stripper or a prostitute, I don’t want to even touch them or go near them. Must just be me.

And being HIV positive might account for why she didn’t bite his unit when he forced her to do oral. She could have probably been arrested for attempted murder for knowingly having a blood exchange while infected.

All she had to do was tell him she had AIDS, no???
That is a little hard to do with DNA evidence.
If someone has their hands around you neck or is beating you in the face if you would bite it would only get worse.Also it isn’t mentioned in this case but in many there are weapons involved. I don’t know about you but if someone has a gun to my head I’m not sure biting would be the best move?
Itwas already reported by the prosecutors office that from the rape exam they retrieved DNA. She was sodomized so the passing of HIV is a very real possibly.
Is she here legally or just another of the “undocumented workers” doing jobs Americans won’t do?
