Barack Obama's Grandmother Threatened By Al Qaeda

Security has been increased around the home of President Barack Obama's step-grandmother in Kenya after an African al Qaeda branch issued a personal threat against her, police said today.

Kenyan police told ABC News they are patrolling round the clock after Al Shabaab, the Somalia-based branch of al Qaeda, threatened the life of Sarah Obama.

Though security had been added to the elder Obama's house the day after bin Laden was killed in fear of reprisals, the number of patrolling officers has ballooned since Al Shabaab's threat was issued. One police chief told ABC News he now had enough officers "to patrol the entire village."

But the 88-year-old seemed unconcered about the threat and told ABC News she didn't mind the extra security.

"My life has not been affected in any way," Sarah Obama said. "It has not restricted my movement. If the government has decided to bring more security personnel, we are OK with it."

Truly, the armed kibbutz . . . (what is the plural of kibbutz?) ability to hold these curs off for a couple of generations now illustrate the aggressors’ limitations. Someday, the delete button for the jihadists, their supporters, their ascendants, their descendants and their entire culture must be pushed.

She looks like Danny Glover in drag.

Is she the one that said she watched Obama get born in a Kenyan hospital?

You don’t think DrudgeHannityRushSavage would not report it?

that’s what I was thinking. Maybe it’s not really AQ threatening her? I’ll sponsor her if she brings along his Kenyan BC...

“I’d say she’s a goner. Some thug hired out of Chicago is probably planning her demise sometime closed to the election...as we speak”

My first thought-—hussein is going for the sympathy vote

I have done a great bit of Google mapping via satellite imagery and find almost all housing in Islamic countries to be multi-unit with restricted access, no side or back access, or walled off compounds. There is no version of western lawns, yards, or common areas.

That’s probably because it’s not a western country. Have you googled the cities much or visited, where the majority of people live? I think when people have been in areas for long, long times, in areas where the common man is not economically well-off and land is at a premium, you’ll find that lots of people live in those kinds of places.

It seems the concept of open space and the indivdual's property run at odds to personal safety in Islam. Without walls or armed guards, even in the best of neighborhoods or worst of neighborhoods a constant is the walled off fortrace. In urban poorer areas it's multi-unit block housing, meaning the whole city block is a continuous walled structure, and in elite areas it's single home compounds even in elite city government/military employee centers.

It just doesn't say a lot of what they think of their brothers when the lights go out, prayers are over, and nobody is watching.

I think in these old, crowded cities outside of the west, everyone takes more precautions. Some people don’t have much more than what they live in and have in their immediate possesion. That’s what happens when places get real crowded for very long times.

Yesah, I imagine it will be changed specifically for Obama. It was a stupid thing to change in the first place, IMO.
