Jose Guerena, 26, was killed when a SWAT team came to his house to serve a search warrant
Guerena's wife, Vanessa, said the SWAT team did not identify themselves
Thinking it was a home invasion, Guerena got his rifle
Now, Pima County Sheriff's officials are refuting original claims that Guerena fired at the SWAT members. In fact, they confirmed his safety was still on when his gun was recovered. Also, officials said that reports that some SWAT officers' shields were riddled with bullets are also untrue.
SWAT gunned Jose down with 71 rounds fired in just about seven seconds; officials said they did not expect Vanessa to be home with their four-year-old son, Joel, who ended up witnessing his dad's death. Now he has questions about what happened, like so many others.
"The only thing he asked me, 'Mom, my dad a bad guy? They killed my dad! Police killed my dad? Why? What did my dad do?'" explained Guerena.
Jose's relatives want his children to know he did his best to be a great husband, dad and patriot.

Here’s the link for where the house is in relation to the nearest fire department/ambulance. The SWAT team would not allow the paramedics to assist the victim until they gave them clearance. I don’t know how many bullets hit the victim or if the paramedics could have saved his life.
Is a narcotics conspiracy a reason to break in and be authorized for deadly force? Are 71 shots excessive?
I know this was SWAT, and not the FBI, but this has a Ruby Ridge feeling to it. They wont even say that they found what they were looking for after the raid.
Did you hear about the raid on a judge’s mother’s house in Florida, which the authorities went into because they messed up on the address. No one was hurt, but after the cops screwed up, they lectured the judge’s family about “police want to go home to.”
One day, a rank and file officer will get shot because someone made a clerical mistake and someone else wanted to make a name for themselves. And after that, there will be a media push to de-arm civilians.
What is the front and who are the belligerents in the war on drugs?
Wait until the jackboot lickers get here saying how he deserved to get killed and how brave the cops were, then, if you are a decent individual, you will really get sick.
You wouldn’t believe how massively unemployed our lawyer bloated country is. I once watched a flunky fly all the way to Alaska from Florida on $1600.00 round trip tickets to pick up an interior aboriginal that worked 10 years before as a construction worker in Florida on minor coke Possession charges. It was so insignificant, even the Alaska State Troopers couldn’t believe it.
If by “justice for my kids” they mean that the cops will be prosecuted, well, that ain’t going to happen. If anything, they will get promoted.
This was not a SWAT team These are ill trained men with lots of firepower. 71 shots show they had no concern for anyone else, and that they were looking for an excuse to kill someone.
“No one was

If we’re not safe in our homes, why should they be...?
I always have a problem with the whole yelling of “SWAT!” or “Police” or whatever, anyway.
Anyone can yell that.
If I’m sound asleep in my bed and a bunch of guys come in yelling “SWAT!” I am supposed to believe them? This does not work.
If I were a home invader I’d just yell “SWAT!” every time.
I have no problem with the war on drugs. I do have a problem with no-knock warrants.
Some analyzers of trends paid by investment advisors and fund managers have said that more of our freedoms will be taken away with more “get tough on crime” laws and policies. It’s really already been happening for quite a few years.
Fast forward 2011. Militarized, Unionized LEOs acting like special forces heros.
Union personnel vote overwhelmingly Democrat.
Cops have become the political police force for the Democrat party. That's why they can break into a Marine's home, in masse, and assassinate the man in his own home and there's no defense against the lieing and cheating LEOs.
“This so called war on drugs has claimed another innocent life. “
I’d say the so called no-knock warrant has claimed another innocent life.
The USSC needs to make the SWAT entries into homes unconstitutional unless someones life is in danger. There is no reason to use forceful entrance military tactics for drug conspiracy. This makes me ill. I wish I was a millionaire and I would get all these people together and go the Washington and demand a hearing before Congress to get this crap stopped.

“Far too many conservatives and Freepers love this sort of thing, anytime the cops get all Ramboed up and go kick in a door in the name of the war on done drugs...”
I think you misrepresent conservatives and FReepers with this remark. We can oppose legalized recreational drugs without supported state sanctioned home invasion murders.
I don’t support this activity but I still want to see drug laws enforced constitutionally.
That one really pissed me off. From what I remember, a neighbor called a potential break in at something like 3104 address. However, the street only had 3102 and 3106. So, as the investigation of a break-in (which apparently didnt happen) they saw a well-lit house with blinds drawn and decided that was the one that was being robbed, because all robbers turn on the lights, tv, and draw the blinds.
They went to the window and saw an old lady in a mumu, and upon that decided they had to break in. They asked everyone to come out and the judge who lived there came out armed. They intimidated her to drop the weapon, until one of the top dog cops realized this was a judge they used to get warrants and he told his men to stand down. As they were leaving, one of the cops lectured the old lady and the judge about not drawing a weapon on a cop, because cops want to go home too.
Until an officer clearly identifies himself, he is just another thug that needs to be shot.
