In April, a University of Virgina third-year law student, Jonathan Perkins, wrote a letter to the editor of the Virgina Law Weekly where he described how he was harassed by university police while walking home one night, due to being African American. The account is long and richly detailed, complete with dialogue between him and the officers and descriptions of his thought process during the events. He concludes this account with the statement that:
I am writing this column because it is important for my classmates to hear a real-life anecdote illustrating the myth of equal protection under the law. Incidents like this one are not surprising to me. Sadly, I have even grown to expect them.
Naturally, Perkins' letter sparked discussion at a prestigious law school like UVA, and the Virginia Law Weekly ran a companion piece to the letter, in which a reporter interviewed members of the faculty and other students about the incident. But unfortunately for Perkins, perhaps his story sparked too much discussion -- leading to an investigation of the incident by University officials.
What they found out: the incident never actually occurred, as Perkins himself has now admitted.
(snip)
...UVA apparently has no plans to charge him. There is no word yet on what disciplinary actions the law school might take, considering, as Above the Law notes, he was likely in violation of the school's honor code, not to mention the high ethical standards that law schools and the legal profession requires of its members. Frankly, based on the press release, the University doesn't even seem particular upset, with top officials mostly relieved that the racial profiling event itself did not occur...

Aren’t they The Hoaxies?
Let’s face it. This student probably attends a “Black Studies” class right at the University, itself, that instructs these students on how to pull the minority card. One need look no further than Obama’s own buddy to see that false claims of harassment are a badge of honor to these types. How can a University prosecute an action that they first encouraged.
No, that Virginia Tech.
UVA is the Cavaliers, which certainly explains their attitude in this situation.
Crystal Mangum rules
Hey, he’s third -year, almost graduated, and it’s a well-written essay. Give him a break!/s;)
Just a good leftist Lawyer practicing his lying techniques.
They wont charge him because it would hurt their black grqaduation rate.
Clear racism.
And when are we going to see some of the writings of His Brilliance.
The will intentionally graduate a racist hoaxster - just because he is black.
In his article - he is correct - this WOULD NOT happen to a white guy.
UVA is lawlessly PC.
His story, while false, confirms the accepted narrative (just ask Obama). He would fit right in with Holder and crew.
Any time you desire something that everyday Americans just accept that they have to earn, or pay for, the shrewd Ebonics enunciator knows the drill:
Accuse someone of a racial impropriety..., "He called me the 'N' word!"... and voila! it shall be given to you.
The little boy who cried "racist" is fast wearing out his credibility. Soon, it won't work any more. Al Sharpton, are you listening? Probably not; you're probably too busy looking for the next Tawanna Brawlley.
LMAO!!!
8^D
This happens over and over again. Since overt acts of real anti-Black racism are almost nonexixtent now, the VICTIM INDUSTRY is obliged to fabricate such acts.
Actually, this is pretty crafty. Why? Because nobody is hiring new lawyers anymore. The moment he graduates, his law shingle is not worth the equivalent amount of Charmin bath tissue—unless he can make a name for himself.
He is probably hoping that some race pimp will spot his talent at being outraged in writing, and will bring him on board the race pimp’s organization, ‘cause race pimps gots to stick together.’
The trouble is that even that niche has way more applicants than employees. All over the country, African-American studies programs have been cranking out unemployables for years.
Oddly enough, were I to recommend a good job for a newly graduated black lawyer, their best bet is probably to become a hardcore conservative columnist and move into Republican politics, where they will be greeted with open arms and a real job.
Affirmative Fiction: Lies of race based discrimination are moved directly to the top of the priority list, obscuring the real crimes on campus.
Baby got bump.
There’s no way in hell this little liar should be allowed to sit for the bar exam.
Which means nothing, of course, since he’s black.
