Headline only.
Of course “we” isn’t Freepers.
But a lot of Americans did vote for the blank slate they thought they got with Baraq.
If we can’t defeat him in 012 based on $5 gas, surging inflation, 10% unemployment, ongoing $1.5 trillion deficits and collapsing home prices, we deserve the bastard.
“Estimate CALLED FOR decline of 19,000”?
Now that’s a story.
Don’t worry. The MSM will “explain” the sudden jump (and the last three or four weeks) as being no big deal. Then tomorrow when unemployment drops 0.5% they will babble about how great everything is.
Well not me, I voted for the Old Guy and his hot sidekick. Curious though the news today the the economy is on it's back and not coming back and no spin can convince us otherwise.
Not when business is still outsourcing business overseas.

Spring Break! Next they will blame it on Festivus!
Best yet.
No insult intended towards those suffering from that terrible destruction, but the "economic cyclone" of $4.29/gal gas prices is trashing the country. Next month should be truly ugly.
I’m so tired of all of this. This used to be the most powerful country in the world. We’re getting to be a pitiful shadow of our former selves.
Nothing but incompetent and evil immoral leadership, from the top to the bottom.
Incompetent? My guess is not. The ideology of this administration wants people dependent on Government.
Evil? From a free market, capitalist philosophy, absolutely!
We can’t take much more of this recovery! Can we go back to the recession?
Drink?
With all the "unexpected's" I am past a drink and am actively looking for a liver transplant!
You know what the shocking part is? That the headline didn’t include the word “unexpectedly” (and instead said the same thing by saying that the result bucked the estimate).
The reason is simple: Would-be employers who thought they had two years after the extension of Bush tax cuts have learned that Obama plans to run a campaign against the “rich” for 2012. IOW, they will be villified, and if Obama wins those tax cuts will NOT be extended again if he wins with the cuts being the centerpiece of his campaign.
Then there is Obamacare, gross over-spending by the fed, enormous inflation on the horizon, and every indication that manufacturing and housing will be sluggish to no growth.
Obama has attacked job creators again, and they are not stupid. They will sit on their money until the future is a bit less depressing.
I'm pretty sure the "We" you're talking about doesn't include Freepers.
Let's hope the patient isn't beyond treatment yet.
The joblessness accounting system set up so as days go by people come on the rolls. But at the same time people are aging off the rolls. There is a balance point that you inevitably reach where the ones coming on offset the ones going off and the percentage number locks in place. A high percentage number is reached and it won’t change until there are fewer people coming on the rolls. Once that tipping point is reached the only change of the number that can happen is down.
I have no doubt that some numbers wizard could give you what that number would be. There are far more unemployed out there than ever get reported.
Trump scared the bin laden out of the kenyan. Got to have a month long campaign commercial to set things straight.
