(CNN) The White House released President Obama’s original birth certificate Wednesday.

The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.

I was born in a small hospital in rural Upstate NY. And what I’ve got is not a copy, as in a facsimile. At least it doesn’t look like it. The handwriting is all done in pen. I’m wondering if more than one BC was made, one for the parents, and one for the state. FWIW, my hubby’s BC, he’s a little older and born in a rural Upstate hospital, is done like mine, complete with original handwriting in pen. Neither of our BCs look like what Barry has produced. And ours look like something you’d frame.

The date stamp for the state registrar is Apr 25 2011.

Maybe the heat will be off now and people can start asking for the long form again.

The term Afrikan was used the by the Dutch/African countries to designate the aboriginies (black) African in opposed to those from European ancestry. Kenya was a Dutch colony.

Notes from the constitutional debates show that the delegates understood the meaning of Natural Born Citizen to be a person with two parents who are/were U. S. citizens.

The NBC class of citizenship is much narrower than the citizen class. He is a citizen, but he is not a Natural Born Citizen, and that is a fact.

Finally! This whole nonsense has come to an end! I’m going to take birthers at their words when they said that this would all be over if he’d just released his birth certificate.

Unfortunately, Donald Trump is looking like an egotistical jackass and Obama gets to try to portray himself as serious. At least it happened now and not two days before the election with Trump as the potential nominee. Now we can move to serious matters.

Assuming the document in your post is authentic, the question becomes was Barack Hussein Obama (the father) a naturalized citizen of the United States on August 8, 1961? If he was not then Barack Hussein Obama II is not a natural born citizen of the United States and is Constitutionally ineligible to hold the office of President of the United States.
