A Baltimore County McDonald's owner announced on Saturday afternoon that an employee who taped the violent beating of a customer a video that went viral Friday had been fired.
"My first and foremost concern is with the victim," franchise owner Mitchell McPherson said in a statement, adding that action might be taken against other restaurant workers as well. "I'm as shocked and disturbed by this assault as anyone would be. The behavior displayed in the video is unfathomable and reprehensible."
The video of a beating the Rosedale restaurant went viral Friday, garnering hundreds of thousands of views on websites and prompting the fast-food giant to issue a statement condemning the incident.

The three-minute clip was apparently first posted on YouTube, then taken down by administrators who said it violated the site's policies. But it popped back up on other sites and was ultimately linked from the popular Drudge Report, which gave it top billing for much of the day.
County police confirmed that the attack occurred April 18 in the 6300 block of Kenwood Ave. Police said the 14-year-old girl has been charged as a juvenile, while charges were pending against an 18-year-old woman.
Equality Maryland said the victim is a transgender woman and called on state Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler to step in and investigate the case as a hate crime. Police and prosecutors said they did not know whether the victim is a transgender woman.

Never said one of those things. Did you see where that poor little imature, a few months over fourteen, little girl shot her mother so she could screw her boy friend, down in brazelton ga. Posted here a few days back.
I will admit that it appears that I am now wrong, based on additional information. The latest suggestion is that a male friend of one of the attackers was thought to have flirted with the transgender, in the opinion of the attacker, and likely the attacker felt that the transgender flirted back to the male friend.
Then the transgender went into the ladies room, while the two attackers waited in ambush for her to leave, then commenced the attack.
This possibility also explains what I was attempting to justify with my former scenario: savage anger on the part of the attackers.
In such attacks, in even what could be called “hate crimes”, there are generally limits to brutality. But when a victim, for example, is found stabbed 40 times, with a dozen stabs to their genitalia, as a rule of thumb, savage anger, is seen. This implies either that the attacker knew and was passionate with the victim, or that an unusually intense interaction had taken place.
The key, I presupposed, was the restroom, which led to my suggestion. However, if it was the perception of flirting, this would also possibly create savage anger.
Ironically, this also indicates that it was *not* a hate crime, because the attackers assumed that the transgender was indeed a woman, and not a transgender.
The franchisee said that his first concern was for the safety of his customers. Really! Then why did you turn your fast food establishment over to a group of idiots to operate. The first person that should have been fired was the manager/asst. manager on duty at the time of the incident for not immediately calling the police.
Instead they waited until they feared that the victim had been seriously injured before doing so. The entire staff should be fired and blackballed from ever working in a fast food establishment forever because any one of the employees could have called the police at the very beginning of the savage beating. The employees became complicit spectators thus encouraging the beating to continue. The elderly lady that tried to intervene had more courage and sense than the entire staff combined.
Without the change calculator built into the registers, none of the employees would be qualified to work in the establishment. It has made it possible for imbeciles to be hired and the owner is protected for losses.
Not that I believe in hate crimes (aka thought crimes) anyway, but the hateful behavior of the two perps, the witholding of aid by the employees, and the coaching by the employee with the camera of the perps suggests a racial motive.
But as we saw with Freddie's Fashion Mart those things don't get prosecuted. A jury of peers in Baltimore would likely not be sympathetic to the victim's charge of a 'hate crime'.
Of course! This case is tailor made for Gloria Allred!
I found, however, that I could not "toe the party line" (due in part to a libertarian shift in my world view over the last half decade among other things) on some issues any longer and rather than invite rebuke upon myself here, I simply moved on to other sites.
By happenstance, I came across this thread in a Google search related to the Polis beating and against my better judgment, succumbed to the temptation to read it hoping to be surprised. Occasionally I was but mostly I saw the same sort of, I'll use the word "unfortunate" comments I'd expected.
Naively, I decided to create a new account to comment. I did not wish to "pick up the baton" of this account again. I posted several comments in this thread. None of them belligerent or attacking, none in bad faith, all with respect, all in an effort to be informative and pose a counter-point to the poster to whom I replied.
In one I offered a VERY mild jab at the logic of the poster to whom I replied but it was so gentle as to not possibly have violated any policy and I've seen MUCH worse here.
Oddly, by the time I'd finished less than half a dozen posts, I'd found my posting privileges revoked, and my entirely inoffensive remarks deleted.
I'll tell you frankly, as I wrote to Jim - THAT sort of censorship is EXACTLY what we rightly mock and deride leftists for. That sort of suppression of an unpopular comment is EXACTLY the sort of thing that those of us on the right who profess to be freedom loving normally abhor.
and it's exactly the sort of hypocrisy my friends on the left accuse sites like this of, in the face of my defense.
Am I saying that ANY comment should stand unmoderated? of course not. what I am saying is that the only thing wrong with my deleted posts is that they expressed a minority view on this situation. Most of them were nothing more than correcting some misinformation which had been posted here about the nature of the transsexual phenomena (not even advocating for "rights" or anything - just providing correct information).
I'd have liked to have believed that the posters at FR are smart and savvy enough to not need to be coddled and protected from such information. I'd like to think the membership that was aware of the deletions would be outraged. Perhaps I had too high an expectation.
Count yourself lucky if you get to read this post before the kindly Administrator comes along to delete it and revoke the posting privileges of this account as well.
There are lots of good folks here. My best wishes to all yall.

there's nothing self evidently "male" about this woman, that would make someone react with fear or violence, and she is in fact post-op so she had no other legal recourse than to use that bathroom.
Quite likely, the gender factor was not even the cause of the beating (and thus not a "hate crime") because everyone speaking here except the camera-man refers to her as "she" (along with derogatory terms for females). Even at the end one of the bystanders says "she's having a seizure" even though the camera guy has repeatedly said "that's a man"
in the police report the witnesses refer to her as "she" and "the woman"
There's not really a credible case that these people saw her as "a man in a dress perving in the ladies room"
irrespective of anyone's hindsight opinion about whether her surgery makes her a "real" woman.
As an aside, one of the things I asked last night was - where does a post-op woman have the legal right to pee, if not in the ladies room?
Based on the new info, I changed my line of reasoning. See #162 above.
White girl flirting with black guys? Not a hate crime?
White girl flirting with black guys? Not a hate crime?
What the fraak is that on the left? Yikes!
In this case, typically jealousy trumps hate. And were the police to call it, they would blame jealousy as well, because of the savagery of the attack.
If technically, it was a “hate” crime, ironically, the objective is not “hate”, but dominance. This puts some limits on the viciousness of a spontaneous crime outside of a shooting or bombing, before the attacker leaves. But jealousy opens the gate to repeated, savage attack.
Even at homicide scenes, when the body has been repeatedly attacked even after the person is dead, the police assume that the attacker knew the victim, likely sexually.
Then the transgender went into the ladies room, while the two attackers waited in ambush for her to leave, then commenced the attack."
If this is the case, I can't help but feel it goes back to an indictment on the behavior of urban low-income people. But that would be racist.
IIRC, the person in question was post operative, meaning the plumbing had been changed to approximately match the gender assumed. Stop and think for a minute about how troubled someone has to be to go to so much medical alteration (chemically, then surgically) that anatomy is removed and invasive tunneling is done to the nether region! This is not even close tot he same ballpark as the militant homo sexuaL DEGENERATES, YET TOO MANY ARE LUMPING THIS TROUBLE SOUL IN THAT CATEGORY. The issue revolves around primitives assaulting a troubled soul just because they were raised to be primitives in a modern world. And our inner cities are full of just such unfortunate children!
I don’t buy that “Born This Way” Crap. It’s this kind of thinking that causes people like this to be more “troubled” in the first place.
And I assert it’s nutbags like Lady Gaga with all of that “Born This Way” nonsense, that’s actually making crap like this considered “chic.”
