At approximately 10:15 pm, a man came up behind a senate staffer just outside of the Senate Chamber and deliberately struck him in the back of the head with the cymbal he had been carrying. The action was witnessed by a State Police member who immediately stopped the attack and arrested the protestor, taking him out of the Capitol. Daniel Lang, age 33 of Crown Heights, NY was arrested for Harassment in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree. Lang was issued an Appearance Ticket and was instructed not to reenter the Capitol.
