Tax the Super Rich now or face a revolution
Market Watch ^ | March 29, 2011 | Paul B. Farrell

Yes, tax the Super Rich. Tax them now. Before the other 99% rise up, trigger a new American Revolution, a meltdown and the Great Depression 2.

We know the Super Rich don’t care. Not about you. Nor the American public. They can’t see. Can’t hear. Stay trapped in their Forbes-400 bubble. An echo chamber that isolates them. They see the public as faceless workers, customers, taxpayers. See GOP power on the ascent. Reaganomics is back. Unions on the run. Clueless masses are easily manipulated.

Even Obama is secretly working with the GOP, will never touch his Super Rich donors. Yes, the Super-Rich Delusion is that powerful, infecting all America.

Here’s how one savvy insider who knows described this Super-Rich Delusion: “The top 1% live privileged lives, aren’t worried about much. Families vacation at the best resorts. Their big concerns are finding the best Pilates teacher, best masseuse, best surgeons, best private schools. They aren’t concerned with the underlying deterioration of America or the world, except in the abstract, because they aren’t directly affected by it. That’s not to say they aren’t sympathetic, aware, or don’t talk about the issues you bring up. They are largely concerned with protecting and enhancing their socio-economic positions, ensuring their families live well. And nothing you write about will change things.”

Sometimes that is the best way.

It is a blow but you are spared the weeks or months of having your guts in knots as you wait for the ax to fall. And you have no idea if it will hit you or the guy beside you.

But it does mean that you have time to make plans, tuck some money aside and put out feelers for a new job while still employed.

And yes, I know we are to take no thought for tomorrow but weak flawed human that I am, I just can't quite manage it!

Now that's being innovative!

Check the vent for a bird’s nest. Sometimes birds like to put their homes where there is warmth.

Your glasses are too full.
Empty them out, and be certain to keep them below the max fill line.

See?!
Mad science!
Who in their right minds would tke sand, melt it, and make something from it?
Only someone who is fed up with sand, and that someone was a mad scientist.

“Mom! The dryer is making blasphemous prophecies again!” it never failed, out here in the dead zones strange things happened.
Lights would turn on mysteriously, coffee pots spurted suspect fluids, and Toasters began dissertations on the merits of barbequeing humans.
But the dryer, the dryer was a bit different.
The lint would sneak past the filter, stage an SEIU style meeting in the vent tube, and then burst forth as ravening hordes of zombie dust bunnies seeking to eat your miraculously still whole clothing.

I’m glad I didn’t read that before going to bed.

I’m putting DP in charge of the dryer situation, because the vent-cleaning company doesn’t open until 8:00, and I have to leave for the dentist at 7:45. I think he’s replacing a filling.

You Are a Black Panther
You see through people. You understand others' motives and plans.

Morning, all. My nice easy day is turning into a day of teleconferences, and yet another meeting on top of my lunch hour. Grump.

But as I said I am still looking for the box. I don’t want to blow up the wrong box. There might be chocolates in the box. And if Forest Gumps mother took the time to look in the lid of the box she could tell what kind of chocolates she was getting. Doesn’t seem telling that one of the most quoted lines from the film is just wrong. But that is Hollywood and the left.

Last night, I woke up so sick it wasn’t funny. Still bad this AM ~ enough to make me swear off food for the duration. I’m existing on Vernor’s for the little while it lasts. There IS a little relief for about 30 minutes, but, it’s only temporary.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be in the overstuffed chair in the library, in front of the fireplace.

Good morning. I had a crown replaced, not a filling. It was not a pleasant two hours. Can’t listen to a lecture on the iPod when they’re drilling, can’t do labor breathing. I prayed a lot. I feel like I’ve been kicked in the mouth by a mule.

For another few minutes ...

I need to go to Walmart, but I’ll wait until I can move my lips.

How the super rich spend their money, as long as it’s legal, should be irrelevant to any new taxation argument (other than the consumption tax, I suppose, but then their spending is on equal footing with all other spenders, or should be).

For you to endorse a column that claims otherwise, then to claim yours is the “true conservative” position, is contradictory, and by saying that I’m being extraordinarily kind to you.

Why pay? Go outside with an extension cord and your Dyson. Fire that bad boy up and shove the hose into the dryer vent. In about two minutes or less, the object of your derision will appear in the canister of your vacuum.

I think you need to watch Bill Cosby’s Trip To the Dentist. Of course, your mouth won’t feel so great when the Novocaine has worn off...

You have my deepest sympathy.
