Tax the Super Rich now or face a revolution
Market Watch ^ | March 29, 2011 | Paul B. Farrell

Yes, tax the Super Rich. Tax them now. Before the other 99% rise up, trigger a new American Revolution, a meltdown and the Great Depression 2.

We know the Super Rich don’t care. Not about you. Nor the American public. They can’t see. Can’t hear. Stay trapped in their Forbes-400 bubble. An echo chamber that isolates them. They see the public as faceless workers, customers, taxpayers. See GOP power on the ascent. Reaganomics is back. Unions on the run. Clueless masses are easily manipulated.

Even Obama is secretly working with the GOP, will never touch his Super Rich donors. Yes, the Super-Rich Delusion is that powerful, infecting all America.

Here’s how one savvy insider who knows described this Super-Rich Delusion: “The top 1% live privileged lives, aren’t worried about much. Families vacation at the best resorts. Their big concerns are finding the best Pilates teacher, best masseuse, best surgeons, best private schools. They aren’t concerned with the underlying deterioration of America or the world, except in the abstract, because they aren’t directly affected by it. That’s not to say they aren’t sympathetic, aware, or don’t talk about the issues you bring up. They are largely concerned with protecting and enhancing their socio-economic positions, ensuring their families live well. And nothing you write about will change things.”

Glasses see everything, they’re always full.

My glasses miss a lot of things, including Pat about half the time. Someone suggested that I should have gotten conservative bifocals instead of progressive bifocals.

The glass is mad science badness in a dainty little package.

Glass is made from sand.

True. We just watched a bit of “Dirty Jobs” with the presenter working in an art-glass plant. It’s a very interesting craft, but I don’t think I could handle being around all that hot stuff.

‘Face you can put your cup under mine as well. Unlike NNB I can’t write lovely original poems but I stole this one fair and square.

Drinking From My Saucer

I’ve never made a fortune,
It’s probably too late now.
Oh, but I don’t worry about that much,
‘Cause I’m happy anyhow.

As I go along life’s journey,
I’m reaping better than I sowed.
I’m drinking from my saucer,
‘Cause my cup has overflowed.

Ain’t got a lot of riches,
Sometimes the going’s rough.
But I’ve got a friend in Jesus,
And that makes me rich enough.

I thank God for all His Blessings on me,
And the mercy that He’s bestowed.
I’m drinking from my saucer,
‘Cause my cup has overflowed.

Oh sure, I’ve been thru some storms,
And yes, I’m sure there were times when my,
Well, my Faith must have got a little thin,
But you know what it seemed like?
One day all at once, those dark clouds broke,
And that old sun, she started shinin’ again.

So Lord, help me not to grumble and complain,
About the tough rows I have hoed.
I’m drinking from my saucer,
‘Cause my cup has overflowed.

And if I should go on living,
If the way gets steep and rough.
I won’t ask for other Blessings,
‘Cause I’m already Blessed enough.

May I never be too busy,
To help another bear his load.
And I’ll keep drinking from my saucer, Lord,
‘Cause my cup has overflowed.

Yes, I’ll keep drinkin’ from my saucer, Lord,
‘Cause my cup has overflowed.

My Cup Has Overflowed.

"I remember feeling that way."

Why would you stop?

I'll bet you're someone who thinks it might be wonderful, as well as terrifying, to live in a magical world like Harry Potter.

What you don't realize is that you do!

Try this; play with a magnet. Stick it to something, pull it off. Put it back on, pull it off.

You do realize you have magic right there in your hands, don't you?

That's not the only thing. Have you made rainbows in your back yard? They come out of the end of your garden hose.

You see? You're surrounded by magic, wonderful magic! You just need to open your eyes and see it occasionally.

As we do the unemployment thing again, I think to myself, “God, why can’t he do embroidery or study Old Norse instead of playing the guitar?” but I also think that if the Lord wants us to experience deprivation, it will be good for us. “My Hispanic ladies,” the Mexican and Central American women in our congregation, have difficult lives. They’re in a strange place, many of them illegally. They often have four or five children, husbands with work only episodically, concerns about having enough to eat every day.

Even when DP was unemployed for a year in Tulsa, we didn’t have to worry about food. (In those days, before Dad’s land was sold, we could have moved to Missouri and gone into agriculture! And I sometimes wish we had, the way Bill and Tom eat.) I’ve lived on beans and rice in my life, but never with the fear that some day there would be nothing on the table.

One of the Mexican girls in my Sunday School class said she didn’t have crayons at home. I got 16 boxes of 24 crayons and gave them to all the students, with some pictures, as a homework assignment on “sharing something new.”

If you do it right, it's like stealing a kiss, and nobody really minds.

Love and expressing it is the most magical thing there is.

You Are a Jaguar
You have a knack for reforming, balancing, and even healing people.
You see the good in everyone, and you help bad people learn to be better.

Even though you connect to people, you can't help but feel separate from everyone else.
You often feel like you are on the outside looking in, even with your closest family members and friends.

That’s the way I read the horoscope.

I just pick the one that sounds best and decide that’s the one for me.

Excellent plan. I’d go with the one that says, “You’ll take a nap today!”

We’re out of wine, so I guess I should make coffee for tomorrow and go to bed. I have a dentist appointment at 0800 tomorrow, and I have to get someone in to clean out the dryer vent. There’s a blockage between the dryer and the outside.

It’s kinda hard to get people excited about the magic of lint.

They’ll discover the magic of the laundromat, or they’ll use all the clothes in the drawers that they never wear because of the incredible efficiency of the Tax-chick All-night Laundry Service.

Bwahahahahahahaha!

I have been informed that there is a "job shift" in my future. I was worried. No.. I was scared. What would happen if I lose this job? I haven't been on a interview in years.

But you know what? No matter. We'll be ok. In the end it is all just "stuff".

We didn’t have any notice; he just showed up at home in the middle of a Thursday. But oh well. “Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his span of life?”

You Are a Lynx
You are a quiet observer of the world around you. Your wisdom comes from listening carefully.
You've always been extra sensitive and aware. And it's made it difficult for you to fit in.

You see past people's outward personas. You are able to penetrate a stranger's soul.
What you've learned about people is both beautiful and ugly. And you keep these secrets to yourself.

I decided that if they have a milk mustache there glass is half empty. You can't really tell in there is water in the glass though. Now if there is root beer in the did they belch would tell you.

I am still looking for that box I am supposed to think out of.
