SNIP
Moments before a conference call with reporters was scheduled to get underway on Tuesday morning, apparently unaware that many of the reporters were already on the line, Charles Schumer of New York, the No. 3 Democrat in the Senate, began to instruct fellow senators on how to talk to reporters about the contentious budget process.
After thanking his colleagues Barbara Boxer of California, Ben Cardin of Maryland, Tom Carper of Delaware and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut for doing the budget bidding for the Senate Democrats, who are facing off against the House Republicans over how spending for the rest of the fiscal year, Mr. Schumer told them to portray John Boehner of Ohio, the Speaker of the House, as painted into a box by the Tea Party, and to decry the spending cuts that he wants as extreme. I always use the word extreme, Mr. Schumer said, That is what the caucus instructed me to use this week.

Lol, THE MEDIA IS NOT LEFT WING!!!
Caught with his zipper down....
Gotta love the way Schumucko is trying to blame this on the Tea Party.
To call Schumer a “tool” would be a compliment.
He’s more like a bag of especially bilious, chunky vomit.
“Caught with his zipper down....”
I hope his thing gets caught in his zipper.
When it comes to tax and spend, there is nothing more extreme than a Democrat.
Won’t happen. I imagine it’s microscopic.
Someone should ping “ExtremelyExtremeExtremist”
Why do Democrats always have to apologize for telling the truth? Boehner IS boxed in by the Tea Party. The Tea Party people ARE extremists. The Republican spending cuts ARE extreme, and are designed to hurt the poor and middle class, who constitute the majority of Americans, Tea Party members included. No big revelation. No conspiracy. These are the Democrats’ talking points because they are honest. In this age of twenty four hours news cycles, second rate media reporting, and Twitter-head Democrats need to stick to simple, concise talking points, like the Republicans do, because the American public no longer has the patience to digest anything but sound bites.
2:16 pmIt is about time the Democrats starting talking on point, taking a page from the very effective tactics of their extremist colleagues across the aisle.
Control of the State Run Media is why Republicans ALWAYS lose the info-wars, with only blogs like FR, and Conservative Talk Radio as outlets that point out the facts.
I always use the word extreme, Mr. Schumer said, That is what the caucus instructed me to use this week.
Yeah Schmuckie, maybe because your, 'Out of the mainstream'mantra wasn't radical enough and doing its intended job.
Well they must have been some pretty NEW Democrats. After all, these liars have been accusing actual Americans of being EXTREME for 50 years!!!!
Honest? This is delusional! They can't see the inflation in food and energy? The middle class sees it. It hurts the poor even more.
They have been calling the GOP extremist for ages. The GOP is, at best, being reactionary to their radical, crackpot schemes.
They try to portray themselves as mainstream, but they are actually quite radical. From a seditious undermining of our foreign policy since Vietnam to the nonsensical Libyan intervention, they've been bizarre. From failed Keynesian economics in the Great Depression to chronic deficits and the failed porkulus, their ideas are crackpot and idiotic. The GOP leadership needs to call these fools what they are.
I wonder why they buried this story in a blog? /s
Schumer has to be told what to say?
How long has he been in the senate and he can’t even be his own man?
As to the dim party/media alliance, who knew? sarc.
bump — nice and useful post, thanks
And “coincidentally” CNN comes out with a poll today claiming to show support for the Tea Party dropping precipitously. These people are a joke.
