Yes, he also could have thrown in something about the cost and how this money could be better spent putting more agencies in the department of education to check into whether the teachers are stalking kids on facebook or something really important on the national scene.
I’m sure some liberals will go ballistic at the fact that this letter was sent. How dare anyone question the dear leader on his decisions.
We’re just a few days into this, but it has quagmire written all over it. We’re supposed to enforce a no fly zone, and hopefully stop the fighting. But, all this can happen and also leave Qadafi in power. But if our policy is that Qadafi should go, where does that leave us?

I think it’s a pretty good letter. The questions are quite specific and Boehner makes it clear that he expects a response. I doubt that he’ll get one, of course, so we’ll see what he does then.

Totally agree. That letter is too mealy-mouthed and wimpy. Its way past time someone has the cajones to tell this admin whats what. They dont respect us, we are not obligated to respect them back.

I agree. First you write a public statement. Then, when there is nothing forthcoming, you defund the whole endeavor with a statement about the separation of powers and the duties of the Executive branch.

Most of the rest of the Replublicans are no better. Unlike the Democrats they do not understand that this is a closed fist war for the country. They should be all over Obama. Heck, the Democrats that are calling for impeachment at least have some stones. The Republicans are all totally gay.

I agree with you. The letter should have addressed the fact that Obama violated his oath to support and defend the Constitution by failing to follow the War Powers Act provision of 1973. Unless the US was under attack or imminent threat he is required to consult with the US Congress before committing military forces to hostile actions.
