On top of everything else, some potentially troublesome environmental news out of the Gulf of Mexico again.
The Times Picayune is reporting that the Coast Guard is investigating reports of a brand new deepwater oil spill.
Multiple callers have reported that they have seen a huge sheen of oil not far from a deepwater rig....

I expect the basketball-player-in-chief will find some reason to restrict Texan oil now but give contracts to Venezuela.

Obaa just approved Petrobras’ Brazilian floating production storage installation in Gulf of Mexico yesterday.
Maybe they can keep our minds off this with Japan and Libya. I am sure they are going to try and cover this up as much as they can.
Huge, naturally occurring oil sheens are not uncommon in the Gulf.

That caption is BS. Note the waves breaking on the beach in the upper left corner. The Macundo well is under 5000 ft. of water, waaay offshore. No beach.
The pic shows the shoreline. Is the Macondo area that close to shore?

Well, the temperature inside the fireboxes of the 8 coal burning plants are near my house are the same as they have been the last 30 years I have lived here. No signs of a meltdown yet, and no big spill. Oh, I forgot, you can burn coal if you want to but he’ll bankrupt your company. Just a matter of time before the utility goes bankrupt.
