West speaks to a crowd of about 400 at Tuesday night's town hall meeting in Jupiter.
“Who is going to tell us who this man is? Is he legally there or not?” said Karch. “What are we going to do to ensure that, if he isn’t legally there, it doesn’t happen again?”
Said West: “I will tell you this: That is the dog chasing its tail. The most important thing is, it’s the policies. That’s what we have to be standing on.”
The crowd of about 400 applauded, but Karch wasn’t satisfied.
“But if he’s not, it’s treason,” Karch said.
Said West: “You will waste more time worrying yourself to death about that instead of making sure that you expand the majority in the House of Representatives, you win back the U.S. Senate so that you can stand against the policies that are emanating out of the White House…
“What is your objective? Your objective is getting back to a constitutional republic principles and values. If you spend your time worrying about someone’s citizenship, you will never get to that objective.”
West didn’t offer his own opinion on Obama’s citizenship during the public forum. So PostOnPolitics asked him after the meeting.
“He is a citizen. He’s the president. I mean, that’s all I know. I am concerned about his policies,” West said.

These are the only things we actually know. The truth is another matter. Accurate but not valid.

He didn’t say anything we don’t already know, which means he didn’t deny he’s not a natural born citizen.
My respect for West just dropped.
How, pray tell, does Congressman know that Obama is a citizen? And does it matter to the Congressman if Obama is natural-born or not?
Sure, we're all concerned about his policies. But FRAUD is something that is obvious even to Obama supporters. Arcane arguments about "policy" might not be so clear.

Factually, West is correct. Obama IS a citizen, and he IS President.
But if Obamas father is the really the one Bill Ayers had the audacity to dream about, he is NOT a Natural Born Citizen.

Well, frankly, with his rape, incest and health of the mother exceptions on abortion, I don’t consider him a solid conservative.
So this doesn’t surprise me at all.
Hmmmmm... Not worried about someones citizenship....worried about the POTUS citizenship. Big difference there West.
Simple solution is state laws that say show the proof or your not on the ballot in that state.
Conservatives have multiple battles to fight to reverse the socialist criminal polidiots. But they have to fight em all or lose the war.

Its probably a good suggestion. The courts arent gonna look at it, so it wont be proven or dis-proven, it will just be a conspiracy.
My suggestion: take a cue from Congressman West.
There are plenty of things to hang around Obama’s neck, without the birth certificate thing, which, in my opinion, could be a gigantic head fake.
If Obama is not an American Citizen, it will come out when the time is right. I have faith in that.
So many here have put stock in Allen West, and I’m one of them. Listen to him on this.
I’m not saying there’s nothing to the birth certificate problem, and I’m not saying we should ignore it. It’s a matter of priorities. Let it bubble along. Look at all the more serious, dangerous, frightful shortcomings of this President, things that are happening in real time. Focus on those. Those are the things that will change hearts and minds.
For record, I am change of mind on this. Remember this whole birther thing was brought up originally by a NUTTY left winger who supported Hillary Clinton. Lets not forget that. Secondly, who really cares at this point. It is not gonna bring anybody to our side we need to win in 2012. Obama brings up birther thing cause make us sound like 9/11 conspirators. Really that is true
Yeah. As if we can’t fight Obama’s policies and stand for the explicit provisions of the Constitution at the same time.
Mr. West’s point is to get back to basics. There is no point in being concerned about Obama’s eligibility for office, because he is now the president. As long as Obama is in that position, he will be protected against all questions.
However, he can be defeated on policy and needs to be defeated on policy. Once he is defeated, he will no longer enjoy the proytections and can therefore be prosecuted, if there is reason to prosecute.
Everyone who cares about adhering to the oath of office to defend the Constitution of the United States.
I don’t think he’s a RHINO
I do believe that stating how he feels about the situation wouldn’t do him any good at this time. There is nothing he can do about it. He is right that we have to take both the house and the senate. If a bill ever went to these two places about ensuring whether or not our usurper is a natural born, one of those houses would shoot it down.
Let’s get control of our houses first!
I like Allen West and I think he would make a mighty fine President! I wish he would run....
I am actually capable of focusing on several things at once - Obama’s policies AND his citizenship status.
