The Obama administration told the Supreme Court on Monday night it should stay away from a high-profile challenge to the 2010 health care law until after a lower court has had a chance to review the case.
Acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal wrote, "there is no basis for short-circuiting the normal course of appellate review." Katyal also says Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli's case is problematic because he may lack sufficient standing to challenge the health care law.

There’s an advantage of living on the East coast I hadn’t considered before.
Talk about the last refuge of deceitful, manipulative, integrity devoid human filth; the kind of human scum that are good for nothing but being made a striking example of.
It's like "the Commerce clause." Just a catch-all term for, "Now we're gonna use this here Court to screw you chumps purple."
It'll only stop when we start proving to them that there are extremely unpleasant consequences for such lawless usurpations of our legal system, goodwill and trust. That judges (and Justices) sometimes (even frequently) join with the venal filth in this despicable charade of using "The System" to screw the sheep is not an argument to withhold punishment, it merely means that they must be punished too.
The consequences visited upon these rat-pigs has to be severe enough to act as a meaningful deterrent to any others in those positions ever being tempted to misbehave in such a manner again.

Time for a Tea Party Express 3? Ditto on the FUBO!
LOL - that’s an awesome, pertinent picture.
From the same Bully in Chief who recently decried bullying?
“Thats what this brief is about, delay and stall.”
It’s the kudzu strategy. They know that every day a decision is delayed, Obamacare will grow deeper and deeper roots, making it nearly impossible to eradicate completely. Even if the individual mandate is declared unconstitutional, progressives will say “Gee, we can’t take away coverage from tens of millions of people, so let’s pass a new law without a mandate that keeps what we’ve already got” yada, yada, yada.

These are obviously stall tactics.
They are up to something.
Obama and Biden Visit Supreme Court
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/14/AR2009011403451.html
Obama and Vice President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. spent about an hour alone with Roberts and other members of the court — only Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. was a no-show.
There was no report about what they discussed,
Would still love to know what they discussed back that cold January day before he was sworn in...
Not that bright.
I wish I had your confidence, Art, but living in Wisconsin, I am witnessing the nullification of the 2010 elections. I just don't see how we get to 2012 and a peaceful transition of power regardless of the outcome of the election (if it even occurs)
Thank you, I was going to reply with the same response.
It’s expected that the O Administration did this, as it’s their strategy to get an opposing ruling that his liberal friends on the SC can base their decision on (as Sotomayor isn’t likely smart enough to compose anything to counter the original judge’s order). He wants it to go to SCOTUS 1-1, not 1-0, in sports terms.
He is an arrogant ass, but in this situation, they are doing what anyone would do. That said, I hope the court does reject it and expedites it to SCOTUS.
I would think the USSC would not take too kindly to obamma telling them what to do?
Personally, I rather have Carter as president compared to who we have now as president!!! This guy is destroying our nation! May Almighty God have mercy on us!
MEANWHILE... back to that Florida case... Hasn’t Vinson’s deadline come and gone? I haven’t heard anything about him ordering a full-blwn injunction, but I gotta believe that it’s about that time, eh?
Just when I think he can’t be more jaskassien he is.
The Audacity of a Dope.
The DOJ filed it’s Notice of Appeal of the Vinson decision last Thursday night, then followed up with a request to expedite the schedule, as Vinson ordered. So his 7-day stay expired with that filing.
Vinson’s opinion stands unless and until it is overturned by a higher court. It frees those states who wish, to stop any further implementation of the law until such a reversal, and also stays the Administration from implementing it further (not that they will).
I would rather have riots in the streets than to watch the ongoing corruption of every system in this Nation. Justice Roberts might tell you he is being pragmatic, thinking of the interests of social stability, BUT THAT IS NOT HIS JOB!
SCOTUS exists to protect and defend the Constitution, nothing more, nothing less.
