Civil Service Board Announces Police Recruit Scores

DAYTON -- The Dayton Police Department is lowering its testing standards for recruits.
It's a move required by the U.S. Department of Justice after it says not enough African-Americans passed the exam.
Dayton is in desperate need of officers to replace dozens of retirees. The hiring process was postponed for months because the D.O.J. rejected the original scores provided by the Dayton Civil Service Board, which administers the test.
Under the previous requirements, candidates had to get a 66% on part one of the exam and a 72% on part two.
The D.O.J. approved new scoring policy only requires potential police officers to get a 58% and a 63%. That's the equivalent of an F and a D....
The D.O.J. has forced other police departments across the country to lower testing standards, citing once again that not enough black candidates were passing.
The Dayton Firefighter recruit exam is coming up this summer. The chief said its likely the passing score for that test will be lowered as well.Civil Service Board Announces Police Recruit Scores

The baffling thing is that black people there dont seem to understand what an insult this is.You are assuming that many of them have either 'Pride', 'Dignity' or something called 'Self-Respect'. To a great many of them, this is simply a way to pull one over on 'whitey'.

You dumbass taxpayers in Dayton should ask for a commensurate % cut in pay for the new Police and Fire recruits, then, as you are still going to be paying for "qualified" workers, and what you are getting is ignorant and un-successful candidates that are being FORCED upon you by the Justice Department, and you should NOT pay for something you aren't recieving.
However, I guarantee the Union is NOT STEPPING IN TO COMPLAIN....they gain Members AND DUES, and they could care less about quality.

I think he was asking me for the model year of the vehicle. We just wanted to get back to Texas so I didn't give him a date in the future. :-)

Holders people... are dumber than a box of rocks. They WILL be called the “F Troop” behind their backs. All Black cops will be stigmatized because of this.
Will the stupid black cops be given their very own handicapped parking spots?
Will the stupid black cops be allowed to have an assigned tutor take the tests for them, just to get these dummies through the Police academy... or are failed grades acceptable there too?
If I were Black, my hair would be on fire over this! How embarrassing for the black folks that took the challenge, competed fairly and won.
AA is bad, but this is insane.

This is standard operating procedure for almost all government jobs. It applies to hiring, performance reviews, assignments, promotions and everything else. And when the candidate who got without ability screws up (like they always do) it is left to a white guy to clean up the mess.

gee ,you mean like the office of the President ,yep,folks, we have our first “affirmative” action President. obama’s college scores were so low that he had to to get a special wavier to enter Harvard( even with the extremely low affirmative action scores required). Now it appears that his graduating with honor was not legit. He was allowed to graduate with honours only because he was chosen(token, first African American) to be the President of the Harvard law review. His “honors” was only honorary, not a sign of actual grades. it appears that he “graduated” at the bottom of his class. WE have our first “D” president. Of course if my information is wrong, obama can release his grades and I will admit that I was wrong. Not gonna happen!!!
