Other Japan FReepers check in!!
Thanks Eye of Unk.
Boyle’s Law.
Been in my share of tornados. Back in 1998 I was within 50 feet of the one that went through downtown Nashville.
Mother Nature is trying to get me. Been struck my lightening also.
Looks like you’re on the North Shore of Oahu or are you higher up inland?
I keep refreshing the USGS zoomed in page and there have been a lot of aftershocks.
Take care and stay safe. Praying as hard as I can for all of you over there. Y’all have a long road ahead once this ever settles down.

Yeah, I saw the correction after I posted. Isn’t that the way it always works? LOL!
I sure hope that remains the case. If that facility survives without any leaks, that’s a heck of a testimony to their construction methods!
I heard em Loud n Clear!!! I have no tv, so am depending on you guys, to make it real for me!!!!

I’m OK. I just wonder what the death toll is up further in northeast Japan, where it really shook and the big waves came in. Will consider helping any way we can on site, if necessary. In these kinds of disasters, the Japanese people really do pull together and more or less keep their cool. You’ll see no looting whatsoever, considerable order, friendliness and (nervous) laughter/humor to sooth nerves. Gotta love Japan and the Japanese. They’ve been through this kind of thing for 3,000 years (and nuke bombs, too), and are one of the most resilient people on the face of the earth to courageously rebuild with the minimum of complaints. Everyone will have their role in the coming days and weeks, no doubt.
Good to see you AIT. Take care.
Glad you are okay. Hang on for aftershocks. My prayers are with you.
CNN reports Hawaii could see waves 2 meters over normal - that is 6.5 ft above normal surf and suggesting evacuation up to a half mile from shore.
Thanks. I honestly don’t know much about Japan. Been a looooooooong time since geography classes in school and I haven’t been very good at brushing up.
Praying for everyone affected by this catastrophe.
Thank goodness Fox switched from that bimbo reporter to what’s his name. He’s better.
She was asking obvious questions and kept interupting with “facts” that a four year old knows. Geez, is there any news outlet that reports like we aren’t braindead morons?
We get it lady, tsunami hitting CA and west coast at 7 am is THERE time. She didn’t have to jump in twice to make that point.
The sixth photo down is Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan(sitting down with some aide or congressman holding his arm), right on live TV today, during a live session of the Japanese parliament in committee. It must have been dramatic; I am sure they will re^air the footage tonight.
