Sunday, February 27th, 2011

FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Gov. Mitch Daniels, R-Ind.; former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Govs. Scott Walker, R-Wis., and Haley Barbour, R-Miss; Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.; Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo.; Richard Trumka, AFL-CIO president.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Gov. Chris Christie, R-N.J.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Govs. Jan Brewer, R-Ariz.; Deval Patrick, D-Mass.; John Hickenlooper, D-Colo.; and Nikki Haley, R-S.C.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): McCain; Sens. Joe Lieberman, Connecticut independent, and Kent Conrad, D-N.D.; Govs. Dannel Malloy, D-Conn., and Rick Scott, R-Fla.
Richard Trumka looks like he could be perfect for the part of Cuffy Meigs in Atlas Shrugged the move. He looks just like how I always pictured Cuffy.
It is creepy and especially because of the extent to which they seem to almost worship it.
There was a billboard in NY that said, ‘the greatest danger to African Americans is in the womb.’ Of course, leftists exploded and it was aken down. Rush said that 47% of pregnancies among blacks in NYC end in abortion.
What an odd thing to worship — the killing of babies in the womb.
nitpicking
Well I caught some of Gov. Walker’s interview with MTP Gregory. Its looked more like an inquisition than anything else. FNS was interesting. Huckabee got tougher questions than he usually gets from Hannity. How did Gov Haley do on THIS WEEK?
Found this, burn reference is to the fact that the Cuyahoga caught on fire years ago . . .
Major League soundtrack lyrics — Burn On .. Randy Newman
There’s a red moon rising
On the Cuyahoga River
Rolling into Cleveland to the lake
There’s a red moon rising
ON the Cuyahoga River
Rolling into Cleveland to the lake
There’s an oil barge winding
Down the Cuyahoga River
Rolling into Cleveland to the lake
There’s an oil barge winding
Down the Cuyahoga River
Rolling into Cleveland to the lake
Cleveland, city of light, city of magic
Cleveland, city of light, you’re calling me
Cleveland, even now I can remember
‘Cause the Cuyahoga River
Goes smokin’ through my dreams
Burn on, big river, burn on
Burn on, big river, burn on
Now the Lord can make you tumble
And the Lord can make you turn
And the Lord can make you overflow
But the Lord can’t make you burn
Burn on, big river, burn on
Burn on, big river, burn on
And its safe to say that Haley might not have been Gov had it not been for Palin. Thank you Sarah.
he’s not presidential material, he’s just not.
It would be like Bush only more so.
P.S. Plus, he advertises himself as a big budget cutter but he also refuses to even discuss social issues—so why do I believe anything said by a man who makes no reference to morality or a certainty that our values are worth protecting?? It’s too easy for a man of no values to lie—about fiscal issues, about anything.
They have already started a type of means testing with Medicare Part B. There are different premium levels depending upon income.
I won’t get into it here or now but there’s truth to what Glenn Beck has been saying about the left putting pressure form the top down and the bottom up. You can use your oil example but there are many more uncovered and not reported.
The leftist money pays politicians to pass a law that another leftist group is demanding. Both are getting funded by the left and people like Soros. People on the bottom are pushing up wanting it and the politicians are pushing down to make it happen. Everyone else is caught in the middle.
Even Republican politicians are fooled by the tactic. Free money to pay for something people are demanding. What Republican politicians don’t realize is the pressure is coming from both the top and bottom and they are one in the same.
“Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
Unless they’re 5’4” girls from Alaska
Then, yeah,
Short people got every reason to ... runnnnnnn
(for president)”
I am very skeptical as well.
Sarah never looks short... she always looks just right.
She said on her Alaska show that she would announce on the local station with her two announcer friends who have apparently been big supporters of her from the start.
She will do that in April (I think)
Besides in 5” heels she’s almost as tall as the Won.
Besides in 5 heels shes almost as tall as the Won.
Kinky, huh?
I'm very sympathetic. A few years ago I posted the gov't weight stats for 5'9" on the fridge door, and finally dieted down the proper weight range of 168. Went in for my physical, found I'd shrunk an inch, and darned if I wasn't overweight again. Went out and bought a pair of cowboy boots and said the heck with it.
The only thing I have to complain about with Sarah is that I wish she would get a speech coach.
And no, it’s not her accent. It’s the way she pauses at places where she shouldn’t, and then rushes through places where she should pause. It makes it very difficult to listen to her and get what she is saying, and I am usually able to understand most people. And I LIKE her.
Try and read this statement, which is written in the manner in which she speaks:
“Well what I, think is that we, must go about getting all energy that, is available no matter what the source and that includes oil and gas plus green energy, you know that. When I was governor of Alaska I got, that pipeline through Canada that, everyone said couldn’t be negotiated and it, will, bring clean energy to the lower 48.”
See how hard that is to READ? That is how I hear her talk! I really, REALLY wish she would get someone to help her with that!
The abortion rate among African Americans in New York City is almost 60%!!!!

All of the above.
That is SO funny to me! I have done THE EXACT SAME THING!
I favor - but will buy other brands - Abilene boots because they are made a few miles from me in Pennsylvania of all places!
I have several pairs now including a pair of ropers that I keep for dress.
I think Abilene are mostly for square dance but I use mine every day and so far have had no problems.
LOTS of GREAT deals on EBAY, BTW.
