AWOL Wisconsin Democrat calls CNN with list of demands
By Mary Katharine Ham - The Daily Caller

State Senator Mark Miller, a member of the missing band of Wisconsin Democratic lawmakers who fled Madison Thursday to avoid a vote on a budget bill, called into CNN with the groups list of demands for Republican Gov. Scott Walker.
Miller, a state senator since 2004, would not disclose where he and his colleagues were hiding out, saying only we are in what we consider a secure location outside the capital. We are not all in one place at this time.
Millers demands focused on the collective bargaining portions of the bill.
We demand that the provisions that completely eliminate the ability of workers to negotiate on a fair basis with their employers be removed from the budget repair bill and any other future budget, Miller said.
He also demanded legislative oversight on changes to the states medical programs, which are targeted for changes in the bill. The bill would also require union members to contribute to their health care and pensions.
Miller and 13 other Democrats went missing Thursday morning when a vote on a budget-repair measure was imminent in the Republican-controlled Senate. It would have passed the Senate after getting out of committee on a party-line vote late last night, so Democrats left the building to stall a vote on the measure.

Remember the recent lame duck session when the Republicans held their ground for keeping the Bush tax cuts and the Democrats referred to Republicans as “hostage-takers” in their daily mantra?
Now the Democrats in Wisconsin are not “hostage-takers” for halting all legislative activity until they get their way. Oh, no. They’re “patriots fighting for working people.”
The media is so biased, the stench penetrates even the most clogged of nostrils.
With a twenty year trial period.
Very well said. This naysayer if he knows it all should be able to come up with a winning strategy. Either get on the team or go home!

“Good Lord. Remind me to position my foxhole far from yours, if there ever is a shooting war! “

Make public the teachers union donations to those democrats who are now protecting them. Let the tax payers see the "$$ favors $$" between these two.
I think it's coming, if this continues apace. Cindy Caswell could probably take a few of these Dem Senators with her charms, too.
Thrilling and frightening at the same time, ain't it? We are seeing the beginnings of Civil War II.
A "lawmaker" who has demands of the governor before he'll do his job? Aside from union fascists, who else can make demands of their co-workers before they'll agree to do their jobs and not be fired?
Declare the seats abandoned, schedule the special election, and recognize the reduced quorum requirement until then. Problem solved.
Not even that much. I heard 12.5% of their health insurance and about 6% of their retirement. I have to pay 50% of my insurance and 100% of my retirement. Cry me a river, union leeches.
Odds are good that he's staying at a Virginia hotel/motel ~ probably in Springfield.
I'll look around for a cheesehead today and if I see one I'll bag and tag him and prepare to ship him back FedEx ~ that way he'll be there by Monday morning.
Have faith, Tupelo:)
From what I understand, the TEA Party support rally will be on the capitol steps tomorrow.
Maybe the taxpayers in Wisconsin ought to withhold state taxes and put up a list of demands as well. After all, they’re the ones that are paying for all this. Should they not have the final say?
This reminds me of the scene in Blazing Saddles with Cleavon Little:

[the Johnsons load their guns and point them at Bart. Bart then points his own pistol at his head]
Bart: [low voice] Hold it! Next man makes a move, the nigger gets it!
Olson Johnson: Hold it, men. He’s not bluffing.
Dr. Sam Johnson: Listen to him, men. He’s just crazy enough to do it!
Bart: [low voice] Drop it! Or I swear I’ll blow this nigger’s head all over this town!
Bart: [high-pitched voice] Oh, lo’dy, lo’d, he’s desp’it! Do what he sayyyy, do what he sayyyy!
[Townspeople drop their guns. Bart jams the gun into his neck and drags himself through the crowd towards the station]
Harriet Johnson: Isn’t anybody going to help that poor man?
Dr. Sam Johnson: Hush, Harriet! That’s a sure way to get him killed!
Bart: [high-pitched voice] Oooh! He’p me, he’p me! Somebody he’p me! He’p me! He’p me! He’p me!
Bart: [low voice] Shut up!
[Bart places his hand over his own mouth, then drags himself through the door into his office]
Bart: Ooh, baby, you are so talented!
[looks into the camera]
Bart: And they are so *dumb*!
Excellent ! It’s time for playing hardball.
We won.
You lost.
You don’t demand anything.
Withholding income taxes puts them in legal jeopardy, BUT, they can stop consuming and building until something is done. No consumer tax would hit the local governments hard, and no building stagnates property taxes. Bartering or trading leaves them out altogether.
Starve the Beast.

Well, my rates are quite higher than FEDEX or UPS but prepare him and I will give you Overnight/Guaranteed Delivery in an unmarked vehicle.
I do demand you sedate him/her though as I don’t believe I will be able to withstand hearing him/her cry and blubber etc for the entire trip.
Will try to re-indoctrinate him/her though with plenty of good ole’ Conservative talk radio.
