CONCORD Made in New Hampshire guns that are free from federal laws and taxes would be manufactured and sold here with legislation clearing the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
This 240-120 vote was another clear signal that Second Amendment supporters are finding much to like in the Republican-dominated Legislature elected with the backing of gun owner rights organizations.
State Rep. Daniel Itse, R-Fremont, said federal taxes have become too onerous and paperwork too intrusive, and this is one small step to assert sanctity of the Commerce Clause.
Standing as a firewall against a federal government abusing the citizens of New Hampshire exercising authority not delegated by the Constitution is not only a legitimate power but a constitutional duty, Itse said.

We have made astonishing progress with these state-level firearms freedom laws over the last few years.
Now I would like see a federal version, eliminating all federal gun control. Here's my proposal for its text:
Federal Firearms Freedom Act
1) United States Code Title 18, Part I, Chapter 44 is hereby repealed in its entirety. 2) United States Code Title 26, Subtitle E, Chapter 53 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
The first part repeals all of 922 and 923. The second part repeals the Internal Revenue Code related to 922 and 923.
The commerce clause only allows the federal government to “regulate commerce between the several States”. The word state being capitalized, means that the feds are only supposed to be the referee between States that have trade disputes with each other. No where does it give the feds any power whatsoever to regulate commerce between the People, or the products they trade. You are correct, it has been completely trashed by the black robed terrorists we call the supreme court and other federal courts. It is about time the States started to fight back on this issue!
Slightly off-topic, but why does NH need 360 members in the State House?
They have 1.3 M people - that’s a medium sized city anywhere else.
We have to find a conservatives in both houses to slip these into a bill and get it passed with zero fanfare. I would love to see this get signed without anyone the wiser. Much like how Obamacare had so much hidden in it.
There isn't much else to do around here...
While I moved out of NH 6 years ago, at least up until that time state representatives hand’t received a pay increase since the 19th century. They made about $100 per year and did the job for the pleasure of serving the state of NH.
I wish the feds had a similar model.
Whats the senate like? Is it packed w/ squishy rubber spined RINOs, tards or true conservatives? Then theres Lynch who is likely to veto it. Do the house & senate have the courage to override it? In other words is the House a conservative microcosm? Frankly I hope the answer is ‘no!’. Would love to see NH return to its truly conservative root. The tards have had the reins long enough.
So they may better represent the people's interests? That's 3000-4000 people per each. They make $200 per 2-year term, and get no per diem.
This suggests New Hampshire citizens probably receive superior representation.
Actually, there are 400 of them - some just weren't present and voting. Great level of representation - wanna talk to your rep, stop by the house and let him know what's on your mind. Or give him a ring...he's likely in the book.
When they only represent 3000 people, they're fully aware that they'd better be accurately representing the interests of their constituents, or they won't be representing anybody for long.

WRONG. Research before you post an opinion based on the way things are in New York...or at least read the prior posts. They get paid $100 per year and they don't get staff with which to play patronage games. They get no pension nor benefits for themselves or their families.
They are citizen legislators that must earn their livings independently of their legislative service.
Next time I will be sure to send you a very special note with lots of xxxxxxxs just so you know I’m kidding....happy now cupcake?
If your comment had any relevance at all to how things are in NH, perhaps your "kidding" would amusing, or at least apparent. As it stands, however, it's pretty clear you were kidding with no knowledge of NH's legislative branch, so your alleged joke makes no sense even after explaining it. Don't get pissy with me just for calling you on it.
If you feel like ripping a legislature, stick to your home-state cesspool in NY where your criticism is actually meaningful.
Give us a kiss...
Sucks to be wrong and called on it, doesn’t NY boy?

My version would go something like this...
Amendment to the Constitution:
The Executive, Legislative or Judicial branch shall not regulate in any way an individuals right to keep and bear arms, nor shall any agent thereof deprive, deny or interfere with the Citizens right to keep or bear arms or the manufacture or sale or purchase of arms. Any employee, agent, officer, or judge of the federal government attempting to subvert this amendment shall, immediately upon conviction, be sentenced to death and shall be executed one year after conviction; any and all appeals of that employee must be heard and completed within one year of conviction.
