Loving Palin, but not for president, cont'd
Politico ^ | 2/5/11 | Ben Smith

Last Spring in New Orleans, Jonathan Martin and I picked up a very clear sentiment from Republican activists about Sarah Palin, reporting from the Southern Republican Leadership conference that "the wide admiration for Palin among the rock-ribbed Dixie Republicans gathered in the room wasn't matched by a confidence that she was ready to run."

Jeff Zeleny picks up something very similar at the Reagan Library this weekend:

Roy Billings, a Reagan admirer and a longtime contributor to the [Young America's Foundation], said he liked Ms. Palin a great deal, but he hoped that she would not run for president in 2012.

“I think she’s a good person,” Mr. Billings said. “Maybe she’s got potential to be the president someday, but not now. There’s too many people who don’t relate to her.”

FWIW It’s your usual crap is what it is worth. Anyone who was unbiased enough and had wiped the rabies spittle off his mouth to watch her address at the Reagan Ranch knows she is viable. Sarah is firing on all cylinders.

When? We've got a radical, former community organizer in there now. How could having a former governor as president be any worse? IMHO, it would be a step up.

Seeing that it’s from Ben Smith, it’s worth nothing. Yet you post it anyway.

So reasonable people can’t disagree about whether or not Gov. Palin would be a good presidental candidate?

more then 50% of the country thought 0bama was a good choice. 2 years later, 45% still think so.

so yes, a large chunk of the country cannot relate to reality and sanity when its staring them in the face

either you believe government is supposed to be small and unobtrusive or you believe it should be in every aspect of your life.

if you’re a moron educated by the state, you look to the government to provide for you. which is exactly why the ‘dept of education’ has been dumbing people down for 30 yrs. those people have no choice but to ask for assistance... and they will get it... so long as they vote democrat / progressive / socialist

i won’t be supporting it

I just can't see that statement standing in light of the current poser in the oval office.

I am a Reagan admirer and a longtime contributor to the YAF. Guess that makes me at least as qualified to judge as this Roy Billings fellow. I say she'd make a fine president. Right now, if not sooner.

Well, this effete journalist happens to be one of the top influences in what's known as the Journolist, the group who makes memes about conservatives.

It's amazing how pissy loves to post and spread the liberal viewpoint here.......

Thank you for posting that, JimRob. I won’t be deciding who to support until we have an officially declared field of candidates. In the meantime, my biggest concern is that none of the conservatives such as Palin, Bachmann or DeMint will declare and we’ll be left with dog feces. I echo your war cry...”Go, Sarah, GO!!”
