For What It's Worth? Very little.

For the next 18 months or so, the 'Palin can't win' drumbeat will be heard far and loud from the liberal media - and with the RINO-loving GOP establishment providing an echo chamber for them. Between calling this accomplished woman 'stupid' a million times and claiming that 'her poll numbers are low' and 'she isn't ready to be president' (everybody says so) the left and the elitist RNC hierarchy are assuming they can 'stop' Palin before she has really has a chance to run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. They are mistaken. Although she has some flaws they are inconsequential compared to Obama. Sarah Palin's conservatism is beyond question, in my opinion. If elected president, she won't morph into a RINO and keep expanding government. However, I won't allow my admiration for Sarah Palin to preclude considering other conservative candidates for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination, should any emerge, as I'm sure they will. But for now, I'm a solid Palin supporter and the yapping of liberals and elitist Republicans - for whatever reason - are not going to alter that support. We can (and do, on FR) argue all day about Sarah Palin but until she and other politicians have declared for the GOP presidential nomination, the argument is academic.

Sarah needs a good speech coach. I’m sorry, but she talks too much and too fast. since her VP acceptance, I have not seen her captivate an audience.

How many audiences have you participated in?

All we have to do is help Sarah Palin get the nomination. Once that’s done, those rock-ribbed(hard headed?) Republicans will come around. If they don’t, well, then we’ll know what kind of Republicans they really are.

Anyone who was unbiased enough and had wiped the rabies spittle off his mouth to watch her address at the Reagan Ranch knows she is viable.

I was responding to the above statement in your post #2. I admit I didn't watch her address, although I did try to listen to what I believe are her remarks afterward.

There seem to be two types of Sarah Paling threads commonly found on Free Republic: those started by Palin cultists, and those started by anti-Palin cultists. In both, the posts rapidly degrade into personal attacks. In this one, it started with the second post, yours.

If Palin is indeed viable, it certainly can't be proven by the behaviour of conservatives on Free Republic.

Pollutico?—really a source about conservative politics.
They are about as left-wing as The Nation.
Ben Smith and Jon Martin are liberal reporters with an agenda—they have NO authority, knowledge, or relevant contacts about conservatives or the grassroots.
Get a clue.

"She's too good for us."

Then may we assume your vote will go elsewhere?

"Palin/Demint 2012."

What do you have against Demint?

As a Senator, he has, and would continue to, had tremendous success as a conservative voice and power broker.

As a VP he would lose it all.

Why not just make him dogcatcher?

The difference between me (amd many other Freepers) and you, is that I respect all three of those names.

If they run I wish them all the luck... may the best man/woman win.

And unlike you I wouldn’t make it my mission to post liberal media hit pieces on FR. Like you do with Palin.

Palin attracts the delusional from both her detractors and supporters. Someday I hope we can discuss and debate where she stands on the issues...no one seems to want to do this with Palin

Precisely.

Sarah needs a good speech coach. I’m sorry, but she talks too much and too fast. since her VP acceptance, I have not seen her captivate an audience. They may be fired up as conservatives but she does not control a venue as did Reagan, and that is a major item to work on.

I believe, what you are seeing, is the result of her insistence not to use a teleprompter.

It is for now, effecting her delivery.

Perhaps she should try to be like Obama and all the rest and not use a teleprompter, or perhaps she will become really good at not using one.

Beyond that, the substance of her speech WAS captivating.

I'm curious. Which 'rock-ribbed' conservative's opinion do you value more? JournoList Ben Smith or FITSNEWS Will Folks?
