This indicates to me, they have no idea what has happened on the ground in the middle east and worldwide and this multiple uprising was unseen and scaring the living daylights out of the administration.

The landscape is changing fast under their feet and they know it and tells me, they are not sure that communications are yet secure which is frankly the scariest part.

Officials also expect that specific concerns about the WikiLeaks revelations will be raised.

Is it to the point where there are no more secure
communications? This is unprecidented. It feels
like the beginning of ww II... or is it III?

Uh-oh. Just when the situation cries out most for leadership, Obama’s Cabinet cowards hide amongst groupthink. And when things go bad, they’ll use the excuse “well all the experts to us to do this ...”, to wash their hands of all responsibility. Yeah right.

Clearly, the Obama Administration hasn’t got a clue what to do about Egypt.

somethings up, you don’t do this without a damn good reason. I generally tend to think, they now realise the crapola payload just hit the fan at hurricane speed.

The absence of a public explanation for such an unprecedented meeting is disturbing. One poster has mooted that the administration is without a clue and scared witless about developments in the Middle East. That is probably true, but it might not be the reason, or the only reason, for this unprecedented meeting.

It might be that Clinton will be giving marching orders to the State Department not to reduce anything to e-mails and two conduct business only orally. This would be a very dangerous modus operandi.

It might be that this presages and even more leftward bent in American foreign policy which the administration wants to conceal for a while.

Whatever the reason, I want congressional oversight and I want hearings both public and en camera to force this administration with its questionable loyalties to the ideal of the United States of America to be held to account.

Why teleconference, or even make simple phone calls, when you can take advantage of a good crisis to promote yourself with a giant, “unprecedented” photo op? Somewhere, Rahm Emanuel is grinning like the cat that ate the canary.

They trained the protestors to overthrow the Egyptian government like good little communist community organizers and how to re-establish a new, “democratic” government.

But they had no clue or plan for the US when the s - they tossed around like baboons, hit the fan.

How their gaming would effect the US is an after thought in their global social engineering games.

It would seem from the timing that this has been
in the works for some time, how else can these
people expect to attend in time or is this a cyber
meeting? Do they expect other embassies to come
under siege?
Unusual to say the least.

“They trained the protestors to overthrow the Egyptian government like good little communist community organizers and how to re-establish a new, “democratic” government.”

Maybe they are trying to decided which government they will take down next.

Perhaps it’s finnaly time to unveil the big plan... Obama and the Clintons are forming a new Global Government. China is going to finance it, and Putin will head up the new world police force.

Not a clue, but to be honest this scares the cr@p out of me. I see no way that this can be a good sign.

1) It shows that they do not have a secure means of communication, or at least they do not believe they do.

2) It shows that they have something important enough to discuss, en toto, that would require a secure means of communication which is currently unavailable.

3) It is occurring during the fall of Egypt, and amidst the fall of multiple other countries, to Islamic rule.

4) It is gathering a multitude of KEY PERSONNEL in one area, which is a security nightmare. Someone with the drive and means could turn this into a deadly affair.

5) Obama is echoing the words of the Muslim Brotherhood and, according to some reports from BBC Arabic, is backing ElBaradei as the replacement for Mubarak.

I’m sure I could go on, but why bother? We know this is bad. How can it not be? Obama has screwed up everything else since he took office, why not add global war to his list of flubs?
