Democratic congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio has sued a congressional cafeteria for dental damage he says he suffered after biting into an olive pit in a sandwich wrap he bought there.

...

The suit says the wrap "contained dangerous substances, namely an olive pit" that a consumer would not reasonably expect to find in the product served. The suit says that Kucinich suffered "serious and permanent" dental and oral injuries requiring multiple surgical and dental procedures.

Kucinich suffered "serious and permanent" dental and oral injuries

Can I help with the rest of his teeth?

And isn't 'oral injury' something Bawney can talk to him about?

What a jerk.

I would hope he gets a common sense judge that throws the case out and fines Kucinich for contempt of court for filing such a frivolous lawsuit.

But, alas, his lawyer will shop for a judge they can depend upon to give them the verdict they want.

I bit into a “breakfast sandwich” from a local convenience store that had something very hard in it; that something broke one of my molars, and the resulting repair, which operation involved a root-canal and a cap, cost more than $2000. It never occurred to me to sue. What a fool I am.

“Congressional Cafeteria:” probably means he’s suing the government.

When you see your career coming to a close you grasp at straws(or pits) for the bucks. He just doesn’t get as much money on St Patty’s Day and those green outfits are a b*tch to keep clean.

Thank goodness he didn’t say they’d lost his pants or heavens forbid spilled coffee in his lap. I bet Kucinich voted against tort reform at every opportunity.

I'll save my sympathy for Mrs Kucinich.

I’d probably sue for that, if it cost me for dental work. Certainly not for $150k though.

Here’s a solution-close the Congressional cafeteria and let these freeloaders feed themselves.

Unless he told them “no olives”, I’d throw the case out. Can’t stand it when people get my order wrong.

The thing is, Kookcinich is loaded and I’ll bet the congressional cafeteria people are just scraping by. It’s like if Donald Trump dented a fender and then decided to sue the contractor who built the curb he ran over that caused the dent.

What hogwash. That tooth had be going bad already. You don't break a healthy tooth by biting a hard substance.
