Friend says Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie told him there is no Obama birth certificate
The Daily Caller Tue Jan 25, 4:52 pm ET
Celebrity journalist Mike Evans told Minnesotas KQRS radio last week that his friend, Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie, has been unable to find President Barack Obamas birth certificate despite an intensive search.
A group of conspiracy theorists known as birthers have long claimed that Obama is constitutionally ineligible for the presidency because he was actually born in Kenya. Abercrombie, an old friend of Obamas family, made headlines last month when he announced that he was trying to figure out how he could release more explicit documentation of the presidents birth in order to permanently defuse the issue before the 2012 elections. He quickly abandoned his search, however, due to state laws that prevent private documents from being revealed.
There is nothing more that Gov. Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document, Abercrombies spokeswoman told reporters on Friday. Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president.

To make an analogy, the house is on fire, and the birthers are focusing on how the matches got in the house and how they shouldn't be there, while everyone else is calling the fire department and gathering water and hoses to put it out.
What a ridiculous analogy. No, make that "what an asinine analogy". Here's an analogy for you that is actually valid:
There's a guy who shows up at the front door of the house wearing what looks like a police uniform and carrying what may or may not be a badge. He says he is the Chief of Police and he is going to conduct a search of the house now. All of you...um...individuals who scoff at the "birthers" are running around talking about how he doesn't seem to have a proper warrant, but if he does we can fill out a form 1056B in triplicate and file it 6 months after this guy leaves with half our stuff and we might be able to rectify this. The birthers are the guys saying, "Hey, is anybody sure this guy is really a cop?"

And why do they keep ginning it up when it loses steam?
Because it makes us look stupid. Or more accurately, it takes the entirety of those who oppose the current administration, and highlights the stupid ones, in effect making you and me look stupid. The birther movement is a great tool for the libs, and a good number of people at this site seem to want to keep it oiled and polished for them.

As long as you include the fact that the cop won a widely publicized election and that he’s accepted by the public at large as being the Chief of police and has all of the power that comes with that, then your analogy’s fine with me freak. :)

Turns out, I can only focus on 1 thing at a time. Well...me, and quite a few other folks as well.
You see, I've been so focused on determining how it could be that someone who was a born British subject could become our Commander in Chief of the armed forces, that I've not been able to keep abreast of the other news.
How's the fight to stop Pelosi from ramming that crazy Health care bill down our throats?
Do you guys think we have a chance to take back the Congress...at least the House during the mid-terms?
Would appreciate any such updates. Thanks!
Oh, and go Saints! Would be nice to see them win their first super bowl.

(HOW CAN A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN'S STATUS BE "GOVERNED" BY GREAT BRITAIN? - Leo Donofrio (2009))

See, this is the point that guys like you don't get: the "natural born citizen" requirement is not just some nit-picky thing; it's there for a reason. It is there to avoid having someone in the highest US office who may have divided loyalties, because such a man would use the power of the office to benefit another country rather than the US, and perhaps even at the expense of the US. If Obama is not, in fact, natural born, then he was presented for election fraudulently, and all those who voted for him (excepting those who hate the US and would like to have Putin running the country) would have been duped into believing they were voting for an American who would truly act in the best interests of the country (from their perspective) rather than a man with foreign loyalties who uses the presidency to benefit other countries. In such a case, all acts done by Obama would necessarily be invalidated, not because of a legal loophole, but because he would not be constitutionally assumed to be acting in the best interest of the USA and Americans, and thus his actions could not be allowed to stand.
In my analogy with the marauding chief of police, it would be as if a felon or an illegal alien were placed in the position. Such a person would be assumed not to have respect for the law, and could therefore not be reasonably expected to follow it. Therefore, all of his actions would be suspect. The birthers in my example would be the ones saying, "Hey, I think this guy was in prison for murder, and was elected/appointed through fraud, and that would explain his violating of the law while searching our house and taking our stuff." It would be easier, then, to have the false police chief ousted than it would be to undo all of his damage under the assumption that his actions were legal. You could spend thousands of dollars in legal fees to fight his actions in court and prove your innocence, or you could show that he isn't qualified to be a trusted officer of the law and get the charges dropped and your stuff back TOMORROW.

Well, if that's true, and your earlier statement about "birthers" reflects your thinking, then good luck with that cognitive dissonance.

It’s not cognitive dissonance, I just think you’re wasting time barking up the wrong tree is all. I know you obviously disagree, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but I think the whole issue is pretty counter productive and a distraction to the issues at hand. *shrug*

I think a more important question than "who is he?" is "what does he want?".
Of course the answer to the first question might just answer the second.

They doubted Paula Jones too.
There is a Bible passage that says “pursue the truth and the Lord will stand with you”.
Why would Barry spend a million bucks on lawyers when all he has to do is pick up the phone and make a 1 minute phone call?
If Rahm doesn’t get on the ballot, he may pout and start telling secrets. Should be interesting.

Thats a bad analogy.
Here’s the right one: a monstrous act of injustice has been committed against the American people: the B/C skeptics are asking for that injustice - and all its consequences - to be swept away, and for the guilty parties to go to jail.
Oh hey, turned out not to be an analogy. But at least it was apt.

well, maybe so, but it seems even Zero is playing:
