Rahm Emanuel's residency fight just took a turn for the worse.
The Illinois Appellate Court ruled 2-1 to overturn a Chicago Board of Elections decision to allow Rahm Emanuel on the mayoral ballot.
Rahm's Attorney Kevin Forde says "its a surprise."
More to come. Check back for details.
Makes no sense, didn’t they pay off or threaten the right people?
Aw, the poor b@st@rd - I wonder how it feels to be Obama’ed?
He's dead!
He's dead!

HA! HA!
checkmate....big boys are playing the game in this park.
Rahm and his former boss don’t think they should have to follow the same rules as ordinary people.
Birth certificates and residency requirements are for the ordinary people, not the liberal elite.
That was my first thought. It’s a surprise because they thought they had all the right palms greased.
Never let a good crisis go to waste...
The Ballerina...great graphic!!!

...it is elemental that domicile and residence are not synonymous." Pope v. Board of Election Commissioners, 370 Ill. 196, 202, 18 N.E.2d 214 (1938). As the supreme court further explained in Pope, the legal concept of "residence" requires a permanent abode.
Probably had something to do with the east coast mafia bust. notice how chicago or vegas was spared? thought so...
The bad news is that he will now move back to Washington...
ROFLMAO
It’s probably just someone who wasn’t paid off making some noise to get recognized.
I’m no fan of Emanuel - but he was born in Chicago, grew up in Chicago, and he only ever moved away to go to Washington DC to serve Illinois or a sitting President.
It’s a joke to think he’s not eligible to be mayor of Chicago.
