God bless Texas.
Romney, Huckabee, Gingrich et al are NOT who tea party supporters, conservatives and independents want on the ballot in 2012. Those names equate to the same-old, same-old unelectable (RINO) candidates. GOP leadership must be sharply attuned to the voters who spoke clearly in November of 2010. The aforementioned candidates may have some backing and plenty of campaign cash, but they ultimately detract from a true Constitutional candidate voters would actually (thankfully) put into the presidency.
Ping!
This guy is a relative of Haley Barbour isn’t he? Fishy IMHO.
No fan of Steel myself, but the devil you know, eh?
This guy is coming out of Michigan—a blue and dysfunctional state. Exactly what are his credentials anyway. All I got from the Texas announcement was the usual politic speak.
Anybody from Michigan out there who has some sense of the man?
The days of aligning voters to the party are over. The GOP will align to the times or not.
Sounds like the Texas delegation gets it.
The future of the republic is at stake. Flaccid, business as usual politics is what got them where they are. Bob Dole got them where they are. John McCain got them where they are. Reaching across the bipartisan aisle got them where they are.
I wonder if those at the top really noticed what happened over the last year. Funding dried up for the same old same old, and somehow, amazingly, the house was overwhelmingly regained. The clowns at the top saw to it that the senate was not.
Business as usual will be the GOP’s epitaph.
Amen. I agree.
Wish we had Ken Blackwell!
Yes! Vote For Reince! He did an excellent job in the Libtard Wasteland of Wisconsin! (Newly elected Republican Governor, Republican House and Republican Assembly!!)
Let’s ‘Spread The Love’ to the rest of the Nation! :)
This guy is coming out of Michigana blue and dysfunctional state. “
.... one that voted a Republican for Gov, and voted in a lot of new Republicans in the statehouse and Congress.
ANuzis would make a good RNC chair. The Texas delegation picked well.
...and yet they re-install LIBERAL Strauss as Speaker (in the Texas House) - with a 101-49 vote margin over the Democrats. DAAAAAAAA.
Sounds good to me! Go Texans!
RPT State Chairman Steve Munisteri announced that all three representatives for Texas to the Republican National Committee will vote in a bloc on the first ballot for former Michigan State Republican Chairman Saul Anuzis.
PTL. Some people do get it.
I’m no fan of Steele, but I’m a far lesser fan of politicians that vote like blind little sheep and in a bloc. My advice to politicians is to always vote your own ideals and beliefs using your own intellect, and forget how your peers vote. This is nothing to brag about imho.
Wow the RNC Chair election vote is tomorrow?
Hope the country clubbers get it right and put somebody in who doesn’t alienate contributors.
I agree. I too am a far lesser fan of politicians that vote like blind little sheep and in a bloc.
As a Texan I’m not bragging about this either.
There is power in bloc voting. What they do is to agree beforehand that whoever the caucus determines is the best candidate is the candidate that everyone will vote for. That way you don't split your vote and let the liberal win (which is what always happens when conservatives split their votes).
I don’t like Steele at all but I don’t think this guy is any better.
RNC Chairman Candidate Favors Net Neutrality

“As a staunch advocate for net neutrality, however, Anuzis rows against the tide established by the majority of his party. (It should be noted that on Nov. 2, all 95 Democrats who signed a pledge supporting net neutrality lost their respective elections throughout the country.)”
