Despite Giffords’ ability to follow commands, “We know that brain swelling can take a turn, so we remain cautiously optimistic,” said Lemole.
He described simple commands as: “can you open your eyes?” or “can you raise two fingers.” Such simple tasks can tell doctors much about her condition, he said.

i watched as he said that and I wondered to myself if he would actually lie about that.
Her being more alert (opening her eyes more easily) could be a result of coming out of sedation, rather than a result of Lord Obama's presence in the hospital.

In the month following my mom’s stroke and brain operations, she opened her eyes regularly. The problem was that she was brain-dead. She died after a month. I cannot believe that her husband would participate in any falsehood.

Did anyone notice Dr. Rhee last night? He is credited(and rightfully so) with being part of the surgical team that helped save Gifford’s life.
You could see him in the background waiting to meet Zero after the speech..and the disappointment on his face was noticeable when BO initially ignored him, despite the fact he was sporting his MD coat.(who wears their scrubs to a Memorial?).
Anyway, someone must have noticed that he got dissed, so next scene is the beaming doc, having been rushed to the front of the line, and Bam hugging and having that all important photo op!
Now, wouldn’t the star struck doc have already met him at the hospital? Why would he be lining up with the other drooling libs at the Memorial for a chance to be seen with the POTUS?
As Odumbo worked the crowd post speech, it was hard to watch the admiration on the faces of some of the people there..even those who had just lost family members.
And to have that be followed the glowing, slobbering FNC pundits review was equally worthy of a major hurl alert.

The Messiah was in full campaign mode last night, and in lieu of the arena being staged, it’s obvious that there are still tons of drones out there who will blindly cast their vote for the First Failure in ‘12, bringing us four more years of Demorat executive misery.
The most recent example I saw was when one of CBS’ resident left-wing twits, Couric, had some Republicans and Democrats sit down and discuss the implications of the Arizona shooting. While the Republicans showed class and did not politisize the discussion, Rep. Jim Clyburn (D – SC) and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D – FL) DID politisize the discussion.
At one point (watch at http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7240428n&tag=cbsnewsSectionContent.0;fdPromo), DWS did what rabid, far-left dems ALWAYS do, she made up a story about her daughter being concerned that someone may shoot her because evil Republicans in Florida are introducing an Arizona-style illegal immigration bill. This little “story” was related by the normally cold-as-ice, viscious, rabid left-wing B*TCH, with OBVIOUS CROCIDILE TEARS.
The latest point these left-wing dems are trying to get across with their talking points, lying, and FAKE concern and tears, is that Republicans and Conservatives just need to sit down and shut up and stop being so mean-spirited and violent in their words and actions. It’s ALL TOTAL B.S. designed to silence the opposition, and thwart the will of the American people as evidenced by the last election.
These type of democRATS HAVE NO SHAME, and NO ONE should be fooled by their cynical strategy.

Obama's speech was Rat Poison for the masses. Seems like it tastes real good and then you die.

Obama made a point to thank the Sheriff. Why? The Sheriff ain't done squat in this case, and more likely ALLOWED the insane Jared to become a public menace by deliberate inaction.
But what did the Sheriff do? He slandered all the left's targets of opportunity, again and again. Palin, Limbaugh, talk radio. The Tea Party. THAT'S WHAT OBAMA THANKED THIS WHITE MAN SHERIFF FOR!
Obama's speech was a wonderfully sweet prepared confection, a cake. A blue cake, for blue states, just like the t-shirts. And so too was the campaign rally "memorial service" at the University.
Obama had already thanked the SOUTHERN WHITE MAN Sheriff, so they prepared an antidote to meet the Blame-The-White-Man conventions of liberal madness. The antidote? The rally led off with a Mexican pretending to be an Indian. It followed with a BLACK Attorney General, a WOMAN Head of Homeland Security, and the Black-American-by -Choice, Obama.
And of course they spoke in front of Marxist-indoctrinated "community organized" youths.
I've said already that the greatest threat to the survival of Gabriel Giffords may be the fact that she is worth more to them dead than alive. They are SO FOCUSED ON THE PROPAGANDA NARRATIVE THAT THEY DO NOT SEE HER AS A PERSON.
In that regard it is CHILLING the way that Obama played up "I came and because I came her eyes opened" theme. The propaganda narrative anchored in Giffords is growing. That is not healthy for her, the HUMAN, because the operatives only care about Gabriel the SYMBOL.
