Vulture in Saudi Custody Suspected as Mossad Agent

Saudi Arabian security forces have captured a vulture that was carrying a global positioning satellite (GPS) transmitter and a ring etched with the words "Tel Aviv University." They suspect the bird of spying for Israel, Maariv-NRG reported Tuesday. The GPS and ring were connected to the bird as part of an long-term project by Israeli scientists that follows vultures' location and altitude for research purposes.
The arrest of the vulture - whose identification code is R65 - comes several weeks after an Egyptian official voiced the suspicion that
a shark that attacked tourists off the Sinai shore was also acting on behalf of Mossad. The incidents appear to reflect a growing irrational hysteria among Arabs surrounding Israel's military prowess and the efficacy of its intelligence services.
Maariv said that the R65 was caught near the home of a sheikh in the community of Hayel in Saudi Arabia. The words "Tel Aviv University" etched in English on a ring clasped to its leg, and especially the transmitter, caused the finders to suspect espionage and alert the security forces.
Ohad Hatzofe, bird ecologist for the Nature and Parks Authority, said that the vulture story has been making the rounds in Arabic internet sites, including Al-Jazeera forums and Arabic military forums. "The subject is receiving great publicity and it is important that Saudi authorities understand that it is not true. There is also an international treaty of nature protection professionals, that forbids doing things like this," he added.

You know I had the same idea.
These people, Wealthy Arabs Sheiks, build nothing, invent nothing, learn nothing, in short take the vast oil money they get from the West and they basically spend it. But where is the safest place to spend it? The West.
So in essence our money comes back to us. And if they spend the money investing in China, China loans it back to us.
I think this is the key thought behind why we are so slow to become energy independent. Until recently, Saudi oil was cheap. In fact, it should be cheaper. The world is bathed in oil.
Better for us to use our natural resources sparingly, and with this wealth go nuclear for our inland energy needs.

It won’t be too long in the future that many people will have more access to nuclear energy, with the dramatic increase in countries like Iran, Pakistan, India, North Korea building centrifuges it will just be a matter of time before it will happen here in the USA, I can already imagine Ebay auctions of centrifuges.
But unfortunately for all the lack of action in keeping it away from truly dangerous enemies of America it will be the most popular hunted down topic for the FBI in the USA, for it cannot be allowed, then how could it be taxed?

My favorite is the turkey vulture. The red head makes them look so pretty.

Every advancement in the Arab world is Western. The problem being their application and harnessing knowledge for violence only or to keep their people down, bogged down in the most primitive aspects of Islam. The Arabs may have given the West Algebra, retained some classic Western texts and given us the zero but since the Middle Ages...nada.

It seems that the Israelis have successfully completed their propaganda war. Their enemies are so paranoid that they’ll believe anything about Israeli prowess.
Hee, hee, hee. Tiny little Israel has them shaking in their sandals.

Good, while the ultra paranoid muzzies are training their radars on the vultures the Mossad trained mice will infiltrate their targeting computers and chew the wires up!
Ironically its been done all through history, their was even a cat given a medal for working with the French Resistance.
Anyone may jump in and correct me if I’m mistaken.

So we really DO have frickin’ sharks with frickin’ lasers on their heads...?
To: Eye of Unk
Well, we did have a program during WWII to release bats armed with bombs into Japan. The idea was to parachute them in and they would nest in eaves or forests and start thousands of fires.

Turkey vultures are what we have around here. They are far from pretty, IMO, but they do a necessary job in cleaning up our road kill.

No expert here, but I seem to recall reading that algebra and zero are attributed to the Arabs, but that both actually came from peoples they had subjugated. IIRC, the concept of zero came from India. Not sure, though....
