Concur your analysis. I may not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but I just couldn’t keep up with it. The producers should have printed a “Libretta” so that people like us could keep up with the continually changing plot themes. Fail.
Me too. Very slow movie, horrible could-care-less about characters, terrible score and at least to me a non-complex plot. I also dislike contrived plots and this was one of the worst.
tanks!
Imho, the plot was ridiculous, the scenes were choppy and the characters were unappealing. It was also boring. After about 30 minutes, my husband and I concluded that we just didn't care what happened in the rest of the movie.
Holy crap, I just read that spoiler and I can't make heads or tails of it...I don't know how the heck I could ever understand the actual movie. LOL!
He’s exactly right about Dinner for Schmucks and Toy Story 3.
It's the kind of movie Disney USE to make.....absolutely charming.
King’s Speech was outstanding in every single regard. City Island was quirky, but highly entertaining. I never quite saw the appeal of the Meet the Parents franchise, and thought that its appeal was solely for the reality show obsessed portly folks who eat at McDonalds five times a week.

Another computer generated special effect driven movie.
Want to enter people’s dreams? Then this movie is understandable. DREAMSCAPE. (1984)

——Robin Hood——
I watched this movie with reservations. It wasn’t Robinhood at all.
I took Will Durant off the shelf to check it out and guess what..... the movie is dead on depiction of the events. It is not muddled like Ivanhoe or most other Robin Hood tales.
I will watch it again this time with a positive view because it is historically correct..... an unusual situation for Hollywood fare.
These are two movies I probably never would have seen if not for listening to Medved. Now both list in my top 10 best foreign movies of all time, and in my top 100 overall.

Tangled
Toy Story 3
Despicable Me
Now I haven’t seen True Grit yet. How a remake of a timeless classic can make his top list, I don't know. I'm just going to have to find out.
I thought “The fighter” was good. Reminded me of a lot of brain dead Lowell folks I knew in college.
Watched The Town last night—it was good! Best acting I’ve seen from Affleck.
I saw it when it came out at the theatre & thought it was AMAZING! One of the best movies I’ve seen; Ben Affleck has turned into a great director & a great actor.
Inception was good only because...............I saw it w/ my hubby, I had good snacks, & I took a tiny nap somewhere in the middle of that AWFUL movie!
Looking forward to seeing town. Agree with all of the inception raspberry reviews. My teenage son and his friends raved over it. It was a yawner for me.
Biggest disappointment: Tron Legacy
[Its difficult to take Medved seriously when he ignores his own rating system. His is a 1 to 5 but he never rates below 2 or above 3. I wonder if everything tastes like cardboard to him!]
I think, under Medved’s system, a movie cannot get more than 4 stars.
I think Medved didn’t like ROBIN HOOD, with Crowe, partly because it is too “politically correct”.
I have not seen that film yet though...
[I was a little surprised at Michaels review of the movie that was a semi-fictional account of the Valerie Plame fiasco. (Darn, I forget the title! I think Sean Penn was in it...) Michael didnt trash the movie, as I thought he would, but instead kind of damned it with faint praise. Anyway, that thing sure came and went awfully fast. I doubt it will even do much on the DVD market.]
Medved tries hard not to let his political leanings influence the reviews...
He even gave Michael Moore’s film on Iraq War...two stars. (Out of 4 stars)
I don’t think Medved and Sean Penn agree on many political issues...But, Medved speaks highly of Penn as an actor...In fact, Medved gave good reviews for some of Penn’s films...
