In the lead up to the 2008 Presidential election college campuses fairly crackled with excitement and anticipation. The oh-so-much-more enlightened Youth vote was ready to explode and show the older generations who was the smartest most compassionate and most politically correct generation in American history. They intended to elect Americas first Black president, and they did.
Now two years later those 18 to 24 year olds look like the dumbest group of people ever to walk into a polling place. The most recent USA TODAY analysis of the employment picture reveals the startling fact that, as a group, those aged 16 to 24 are suffering the highest level of unemployment since the government started keeping track back in 1948.
Making the point that falling for Obamas socialism was a huge mistake, the level of unemployment for this group has grown from 34% in 2000 to 45% today.
Hurt their parents and grandparents
As bad as Obamas recession

The democrat party utterly crushes the hopeless blacks and the moronic youths.
Glad they learned this lesson early on; they won’t be voting Dem again for at least 30 years...
The “youth” voted for 0bama on the unspoken promise that he’d take stuff from those who’ve paid their dues and accumulated wealth over their long lives
and give it to them.
Most “youth” don’t understand why “the old farts” have all the money.
Reminds me of my first vote...for Carter.
Never again.
At least I went for Anderson! :-)
Well, I did mention this would be a blessing in disguise.
I’m not sure they are that smart. Plenty of folks have voted D all their lives....and still do!!
We all make our mistakes when young.
I doubt many of them have learned anything.
They likely either don’t make the connection of the bad economy to 0bama’s actions/inaction, or they simply blame it on the “evil republicans” who have kept 0bama from making things better....
Idiots all!
On the other hand, Obama has swelled the ranks of 23-year-olds sitting on their cots in the mothers’ basments, angrily blogging in their underwear, eating Cheeze Whiz right from the can and trying to searching the seat cushions for enough money to go to see an Oliver Stone movie. I see this as a win-win.
Or mine, for McGovern...
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Gasp! Choke! Gasp! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! HEHEHEHEHEHHEHEH! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Gasp! BWAHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Now that’s a funny pictue! Thanks for the chuckle.
Looks like? I'd say they pretty much locked that one in from the start. Stupid is as stupid does. (Of course, the young people have a lot of company in America on that count.)
The old truism in Vegas: You'll never go broke betting on human stupidity.
It needs to keep right on crushing right up to 2012.A significant number are starting to get a clue but it needs to be drilled into their heads. Two more years should do the trick.
I overheard some of these 20-somethings a few days after the elections. It went something like this:
“Did you vote?”
“Yeah!”
“Did Obama win again?”
“No, I think it was the Republicans.”
“O.M.G! That’s bad, right?”
“Yeah, I think so.”
HERE IT COMES AGAIN
