Congress Bars Gitmo Transfers

Congress on Wednesday passed legislation that would effectively bar the transfer of Guantanamo detainees to the U.S. for trial, rejecting pleas from Obama administration officials who called the move unwise.

A defense authorization bill passed by the House and Senate included the language on the offshore prison, which President Barack Obama tried unsuccessfully to close in his first year in office.

The measure for fiscal year 2011 blocks the Department of Defense from using any money to move Guantanamo prisoners to the U.S. for any reason.

If Barry clashes head on with Congress on this issue when he returns it could signal the beginning of his rule by fiat and executive orders for the remainder of his term. Doing so will not faze him a bit.....it's part of his Alinsky playbook.

It's curious, even strange, how adamant he is about terrorists being tried in civilian courts in this country and incarcerated in local federal prisons. Even to the point of pouring millions and millions into rehabilitating an empty Illinois facility.

Could it be that ole Barry is philosophically and emotionally on the side of the terrorists....to the point of pushing his weight around to insure the best trial and imprisonment deals for them even to the detriment of our own country?

notice Obama said that this was unwise. So another of his many failed campaign promises. Kind of like “Ich bin eine Berliner”, when he was on his world tour. This is from the Emperor of the World with the 57 States - 1. Europe (except Great Britain), 2 - 49 United States (except Hawaii), 50. Hawaii (this is his supposed birth place - thus it is a separate Country). 51. Indonesia (his adopted home Country).52. Pakistan (remember to pronounce it Correctly)

So now we know have Obama comes to the understanding of the 57 States of the United States. Now we know where all the money is going too.

Voting for, were all D’s plus the usual gang of liberal R’s.

Laughable. Obama failed to do what he promised to do and his liberal base got pissed. So Reid/Pelosi bail him out by passing legislation so it can’t happen. Ergo, when he campaigns for 2012 Obama will simply tell the disappointed liberal base that CONGRESS prevented it from happening. He always blames someone else for his failures.

The desperate Obama and the Communist MSM do not realize the frustration and anger out in flyover country. We may have to have all the unemployed construction and factory workers march on Washingtopia and build an impenetrable wall around the beltway. We can then cut off the power and starve them out to the waiting mobs.
