Something doesn’t feel right here! Expected to hear about this yesterday, especially on Fox! Nothing!

Hmmm, I don’t know.

BUT, I would say that it was a foregone conclusion that it would pass - else, why would topics like these be included in our Annual Ag Week program.

*Produce Food Safety (Certification Sessions)
Updates from DDA Food Products Section and USDA Third Party
Audit Program - Nathaniel Taylor, Federal Program Manager,

*Updates on Produce Food Safety Education Certification
Program

*Water Testing Research

*Produce Traceability

*Produce Food Safety Science Updates

Sure a change from the ‘How to grow more, and do it more profitably’ that has always been the mainstay...

Guess I will learn more the middle of January...

(Not Liking This!)

The bill is a horror that has been coming for over a year.

The final version that Passed the Senate is here:

http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-111s510es/pdf/BILLS-111s510es.pdf

(all 242 pages)

The bill will do “nothing” for food quality or safety, but will greatly increase the cost, record keeping and put Big Corporate Agriculture in the catbird seat by using regulation to eliminate smaller competitors.

They have been doing that for years. I know, my family has farmed in the county I live in here in TX since the 1880’s.

We will regret this sham that was sold to us by a scare of a terrorist attack. Grow food locally, process food locally and don’t make this complicated. This will not end well. It is a sell out by the Congress and the Senate.

NOT GOOD.....

Stupid Bas___ds! You really went and did it this time.

Nope. Another one of those bills that is too complicated to be understood until after it is passed. So, they have to pass it, then read it during their retirement years, after they have been defeated for re-election.
