If you support the homosexual agenda you are anti-constitution and you'll get the zot from FR. Homosexuals already have the same "rights" as everyone else. God did not grant and the constitution does not guarantee homosexuals any special rights. In fact, the homosexual agenda is a full frontal attack on OUR God-given, constitutionally protected rights to free speech, freedom of religion, freedom of association, Life, Family, Marriage, Pursuit of Happiness, etc.
I don't want it on FR and won't have it on FR.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it give them special privilege, which is their agenda. You are reaching for rationalizations of your point of view and throwing straw-man arguments, just like earlier when you threw in the race issue.

I have talked to people on both sides of the issue, and there are those who have uttered that very phrase, so I use it as an example of the other end of the spectrum from total acceptance, participation, and the forcing it on the rest of society.
Without restraint, either moral or by very rule of law, I believe there are factions on either end that have, or would resort to violence to push their respective agenda.
The point I was attempting to make was that there always is a grey zone.
Way too much is at stake. Deployment tensions and stresses are bad enough without them being social engineered. The best interest of the service must come first. This has been blatantly ignored for twenty years now. The social changes made in that time frame so far by no means have served to further the mission of the United States Armed Forces nor increase it's efficiency or effectiveness.
They are FORCING homosexualism on the military. And on our school children. And in our public square. Even our churches. The leftist liberals have infested every public institution with this sick UNWANTED perverted pestilence. It’s part of their plan to destroy our society and our freedom. Don’t be a useful idiot for the left.

I “threw the race issue” in there to make a point about equal protect clause in the 14th Amendment. Brown v. The Board of Education is based on that.
I think sexual preference ought to be a private matter and never political, but the world we live in has become a rather bizarre place, thanks to the radicals who have infested every corner of our lives. The military is too vital an institution to be used as a social laboratory, especially by the same radicals whose purpose is to destroy it as a means of effectively protecting our liberties and projecting American power.
In the meantime, I'm going to go watch some football, so as I suggested to all earlier, let's continue to keep our words as civil as possible given the emotional nature of the discussion. Merry Christmas to you and yours -

You hit the nail on the heaad with "their protected status." Whereas, your wishful thinking of "coming up with ways to deal with the Sh!tbirds," leads me to believe you are unfamiliar with - let alone having had to deal with - Congressional Inquries.
Misfits (and/or their parents) usually run to their congressman whenever things are not to their liking. In turn, the congressman fires off an inquiry to the Defense Department demanding an investigation as to why this individual is being unjustly treated.
Naturally, this inquiry trickles down-stream until it reaches the person in charge - gathering many signatures along the way of those wanting to know what-the-hell is going on. Then that person must take timeout to answer the inquiry - explaining, in detail, exactly what transpired; and it had better be thorough and well documented.
Don't know how it is now, but it didn't end there. These misfits had to be shuffled off to two other units before they could be discharged if, of course, all are of the same opinion.
In other words, it's going to become a nightmare. In addition to the degradation of unit morale and performance whenever this occurs, the wasted hours/paperwork devoted to this unwarranted intrusion will be insurmountable.
How has this guy not been zotted yet?

His Word clearly states that homosexuality is a SIN. He may love us, but homosexuals will never attain Heaven unless they renounce their sin. His love being unconditional does NOT mean he accepts our sin.
Oh, I've seen it. It is among the most profoundly disgusting things I have ever witnessed and believe me, I've been around. In my less-charitable moments, I've wondered if it would really be a bad thing if a 50-foot tidal wave were to engulf San Francisco and wash it out to sea. But I've got some "normal" friends in the Bay Area and wouldn't wish it on them.
The really perverse thing is how the sociopolitical culture in that city has been so corrupted that the police are forced to stand around doing nothing while witnessing acts of public obscenity that if committed by heterosexuals would rightly result in arrest and prosecution. In my mind, that is not tolerance, it is institutionalized depravity.
They are ALLOWING, FORCING is if they set up a quota of gays that had to be in the military. I would be against that 100% as I am against all quotas.
I feel some of the more virulent posters on the Free Republic are better useful idiots for the left. Every time, they average person might stumble on this site only to see words like “homo” “fag” or “queer” posted in a thread, you turn off a potential ally. If we are going to beat back the progressive onslaught and reclaim the country for original Constitution, we will need a wide coalition. This is not to say reach across the aisle. I mean to built a force of people who agree with the strict reading of the Constitution. When you allow people who speak (or type in this case) hate, you allow a disservice to our cause. There are many gays who against Obama and his leftist agenda. They just want to be left alone. If the colonists could seek the aid of the French, I think we can seek out pro-Constitution allies from unlikely sources.
