Countdown to Court Martial: Update from Dec 14, 2010
Safeguard Our Constitution ^ | 12-14-10 | SOC

His new lawyer -- who has not been working with us -- convinced Terry that by changing his strategy and abandoning any argument about Obama's eligibility, he would be able to plead for mercy tomorrow when he is sentenced.

Terry was able today, and will be able tomorrow, to explain that he was motivated by his concerns about eligibility, but of course by pleading guilty he abandons any opportunity to appeal, and thus any chance that the appellate courts would reverse Judge Lind's rulings.

The Lakin case will now never provide an answer to the questions the nation has as to the eligibility of Barack Obama to be Commander-in-Chief. However, Terry cannot be blamed for doing what he believes is in his, and his family's, best interests and of course Terry had the courage and fortitude to put himself in jeopardy in the first place. We wish him all the best tomorrow as the trial continues to its conclusion.

I believe this is so railroaded. This man has every right to question the President.

He pleaded not guilty to one charge and will still have grounds for appeal.

Is does not appear that Lakin’s supporters at Safeguard our Constitution are too thrilled about Puckett’s representation either?

In the future legal textbooks, the Lakin case should be cited as the definition of being legally railroaded.

I’ve been divided on this case from the start. On the one hand, I don’t believe that Obama is qualified to be President. In fact, I think he is almost certainly an illegal alien.

But it also worried me that Colonel Lakin had, as I recall, 18 years of distinguished service in the military, and therefore stood to lose everything if he was dishonorably discharged before putting in his 20 years’ service. There are at least some people in the military who have put in more than 20 years, and I wish they had found someone in that position.

This was a long shot in any case, since it seems obvious that the courts do not want to confront the problem of an illegitimate left-wing President who is also a person of color.

I am sorry that this is not working out as one would have hoped, but I would hate to see him throw his life and his well-earned retirement prospects for nothing.

It’s not just that criminal liar, Obama. It’s also Nancy Pelosi and the DNC who are responsible for this. And the media. And all the jerks who voted without even looking at who they were voting for.

At least I hope that we can avoid the worst outcome—that nothing comes of this, but that Col. Lakin loses his retirement funds and gets dumped out on the street with nothing.

I hope I am wrong but I am afraid that is exactly what is going to happen.

BO and his supporters want to make an example of Col. Lakin.

Well, I don’t see why he should agree to a plea deal unless he can avoid that outcome. Some punishment, yes, but not the worst punishment. Hopefully his new lawyer won’t allow that to happen. Otherwise, he’d do better to fight it—for his own sake as well as the rest of us.

I'm so sorry to hear that he has given up. I can understand how alone he must feel. It must have taken a huge toll on his family too.

I wish him the best.

This case is not about Obama. The Col disobeyed a direct order from his CO and failed to report.

Can a PVT say to his SGT, No! I will not clean the latrines because Obama is not legitimate.

As a soldier you obey and report to your superior, not to the President.

Officers’ oath is to the Constitution, not the man.

Finally, at the 11th hour, he wises up? I hope his plea for mercy is granted but I’m not sure he deserves it. This was a stupid stunt from the get-go.

The Constitution is a document which is interpreted. The officer’s oath is not to his/her personal interpretation of the Constitution.

Although Obama is a Muslim and is not America, of that I have no doubt, without an ordered chain of command the military would break down to chaos.

I support the goals and bravery of the Col, but his actions were misguided. JMHO

Lakin received very bad legal advice from the start.

He is right to question Obozo’s eligibility, but stupid to use this path.

Remember, January 3, 2011 approaches. There may be some “big changing” on the horrizon. The 112th Congress will have investigative power, subpoena power and the purse strings. We shall see where this leads.

A new House on Un-American Activities Committee is called for. We shall see if that happens.

It is TIME to DownSize DC! And it is TIME to expunge the Arrogant Lying Commie Bas___ds from all government employment. Traitors beg punishment.

There will come a point when following one’s conscience is more important than not getting in trouble with the government. Col. Lakin is a brave man. Obastard is not eligible to be sitting in his position and many people know this and have helped him by commiting many crimes. We are in a Constitutional crisis right now.

Below is something I posted on the long thread about this.

Among conservatives (leaving aside the 0bot toadies), there are two camps (according to this division I’m discussing, surely there are other ways to divide):

1. Those who think that somehow things will muddle along, pretty much as they’ve always done, maybe get a bit worse, a bit better, hopefully a lot better. Gradually, gradually - maybe next time an R president who’s more conservative will help straighten things out, or maybe one who isn’t, but then maybe the time after that things will improve. The various crises will pass, get resolved, or just sort of drift along and effects will dissolve, and be in the past almost forgotten, just like all of Clintoon’s horrorshows and previous crises. (Of course, China wouldn’t have the technology it has now were it not for Clinton’s treason....)

This group cannot foresee the end of our Replublic, a huge war, or widespread extreme devastation of any kind. Things could get “really” bad but not collapse, they’ll improve again, it’s all relative. Our Republic just can’t get destroyed - because - it just won’t happen.

2. The second group thinks that utter destruction of our Republic not only could happen, it can happen - and is happening right now. The enemy within (no doubt helped by the enemy without) is feverishly and busily working on destroying what is good about our country - what is left of what is good - right now, right this minute.

These enemies are driven by a passionate fervor, and just hoping they’ll go away means utter defeat for all that is good. Pretending that they either don’t mean and plan utter destruction, or that they’re weak or foolish (they are foolish but that’s beside the point), or that they’re somehow “destined” to lose, is the way to ensure that we fail and they win.

There are so many crises about to hit - already hitting - some just happenstance (inasmuch as any human influenced or caused situation can be happenstance) or nefarious plan - that one can hardly count them.

I think we are in some of the most dire times in the known history of the world. That so many here on FR scorn such concerns as tinfoil nuttery, conspiracy theories and so on is very disheartening.

Anyway, /rant off!

Ultimately - I am convinced without a shred of doubt that the Supreme Lord is ultimately in charge; He gives us our free will, and when that free will becomes so misused it becomes a sort of critical mass, He will by one way or another, arrange something. What or how - that’s His job, not mine. But whatever is in the future, I think it is a rough road to get to the other side. (And I’m just talking about this world of course.)
