Friend of mine flew out of Corpus Christi airport today. Interesting security.

Posted on 12/08/2010 6:22:20 PM PST by Shannon

A friend of mine flew out of Corpus today. This is a white, American born, woman in her early 60's. She's a very clean cut, well to do woman. I'll put her security story in the comment section.

I thought about gassing up the car, but we would never make it outta here in a normal vehicle. So my hubby says hell no! Instead we will lock and load and protect the home front. Pit bills and all. Sympathies to Chet ET AL.The pits do love small dogs and small children. All others, beware!

Time to start dressing in burkas and turbans for air travel.

Yeah...tell them "It's against my religion," reach into your pocket, pull out a scarf, and tie it around your head. Just like this woman did:

Presto! Instant muslim. Who's to say you aren't? I'd be very curious to hear how this goes. You know it's going to happen someday soon.

Really a turban and a burka? I live in San Jose with has a very broad mix of cultures imported from around the world especially Muslims. Not once have I ever seen a Muslim wear a turban. The people who wear turbans are the Sikhs and they are generally peaceful people who’s culture developed in part as a reaction to Muslim violence.

There are updated lists of airports with scanners...and Corpus Christi does have them.

I know very well that it’s Sikhs who wear turbans and they are very peaceful people. But you’re missing the point. If a terrorist could hide a bomb in his underwear or sneaker do you really think it’s out of the question for one to hide one in a turban? No, it’s not and especially if they know they won’t be screened.

What happens when everyone shows up in a Turbin and Burka?

That's exactly what Muslims want. They don't care if you really believe in anything or ever seen Koran. They want you as a statistic, as a silent partner. When so many people pretend to be Muslims the real Muslims then can push their agenda.

And there are more and more reasons every day to pretend to be a Muslim. Here are two, both created by the US government:

And why is that? Because Muslims are organized, and whether you like it or not they already have a lot of political weight in this country. You cannot get rid of that by democratic means because demographics is *already* not in your favor.

So big sis and obey et al considers anyone WITHOUT a turban or a burka a security risk? Makes sense....

A big deal out of a small event? You're kidding, right? If average American citizens are aware of this security waiver, guess who else is......the ones who need to be screened the most. The real question is whether some nutjob will take advantage of it to carry out some holy mission.

You can smell BS all you want but you might want to get your sand out of the sand. Go ahead and get on a plane with a burka wearing woman skating through security......after YOU get scanned and patted down. Have a nice flight. To me that's not a secure flight and I wouldn't board it if I had a free ticket.

“A turban? That’s not Muslim”

Hmmm. This story sounds like an urban myth.

Notice that the report of the “turban and burka” clad passengers is a third hand.

We are hearing the story from the poster who heard it from her friend who heard it from a passenger behind her in line.

So neither the poster nor the friend actually saw the covered passengers get a pass.

Seems like if it is true that people with head coverings get through without pat downs that we would be hearing more about it.

Anyone have a link to this?

I haven’t asked him how the security thing went, but he flew in and out of major airports. I’m curious to see what his experiences were.

A lot of major airports haven't started using the scanners yet, even though they're installed.

Good for you. Not an option for me, so long as I want to keep my job. It's still not possible to drive to Europe from Seattle in a couple of days.

Wow! Thanks, I don’t understand, except that we’re close to Mexico!

I drive to San Antonio - 200 - miles, save $150 in flight costs per person. I guess SA will be getting the scanners soon, but not yet!

Remember the Alamo!
