A friend of mine flew out of Corpus today. This is a white, American born, woman in her early 60's. She's a very clean cut, well to do woman. I'll put her security story in the comment section.
When she got on the plane she struck up a conversation with a woman who'd been behind her in line. That woman told her about a man with the turban and woman in a burka who walked right on through; no body scanning and no pat downs. When the woman asked a male security agent what was up with that, she was told "It's against their religion to be inspected"!!! I told my friend that's one flight I'd be afraid to be on.
Characteristics of a sick, ill-informed government to allow such a thing...in short, I can’t believe what I read and hear in the news, almost every day now...
Oh yea, it's to late and we lost. Amerikanistan.
Well alrighty then, we know how to dress for a flight out of town dont we?
Yep, time to start the “Renta-Burka” ... drop me an email and a $1000 check for your personal franchise!
I told my friend she should have told blue glove woman that she too was Muslim and to buzz off. Problem is that she would have been arrested. Gas up the car.
“It is against my religion too!”
Wonder if that would work. Or do I have to wear the garb to get a free pass?
Someone's going to make a fortune selling burka patterns for sewing aficionados.
Get rid of all metal that is concealed under the clothing.
What you said. The only person allowed to touch me with out arresting me is my hubby, a doctor, or a nurse.
It is against my religion too!

I thought the same thing!! Of course, you and I would have to wear the garb and prove our “faith” while ‘they’ walk through...unbelieveable!
..can’t wait for a passenger to video a burka getting a pass through.....it should go viral on you tube....and then wait for Big Sis Napolidioto to spin the issue....
My husband flew this week and is coming home tonight. I haven’t asked him how the security thing went, but he flew in and out of major airports. I’m curious to see what his experiences were.
They can see us if we are wearing a full burka. :)
We have given up flying so that we don’t have to deal with it.
A turban? That’s not Muslim. FWIW.
WOW!
Corpus Christi is the total Podunk airport of the Coastal Bend of Texas!
Who knew that they had sophisticated equipment, and why, for the few hundred, maybe a thousand travelers a day, onto - basically - commuter planes.
Sorry, I smell BS with this posting, or at least someone who is trying to make a big deal about a small event!
Doesn’t matter that it wasn’t a Muslim. What matters is that someone with a turban is allowed to walk on through. It wouldn’t take much brain power for someone with bad intentions to figure out what could be hidden inside a turban.
I will not be flying for the near future.
